Re: 2007/08/21 and 22 - London, UK - Brixton Academy
I saw plenty of girls at Brixton carrying handbags around, so you might be alright. They probably just say it upfront to cut down on too many people bringing bags.
Although I'm just hypothesising here, and it might be different up in manch !

We're driving down from Durham to Manchester for tomorrow night. We'll have a day around the town. Some food, some beers etc. Probably pick up a bunch of CDs, DVDs etc. but have no problem with dumping them in the car before the gig.
Besides, you don't want bags when your moshing. Oh, you can't do that either can you! Just kidding about the moshing thing guys, my balls droppd years ago :)

I'd rather do that than not get into the gig.
The lesser of two evils I guess...
true. I finally managed to speak to someone at the Manchester Apollo and they said small bags would be okay so I'm relieved. it's the band asking for no bags to be brought in apparently, I do love Tool but fuck me they are the most pedantic band I have ever known when it comes to stuff like that.

decided to stay over in manc now and go to Jilly's rockworld which I've been meaning to go to since forever but have never been. should be cool! plus the weather is going to be sweeeet. beer gardens all afternoon methinks.

2nd night at London was great - Lateralus included a guest appearance by the Dragonforce guitarist, and Maynard was the most animated and interactive I've ever seen him.
The only downer was the group of chav blokes who started a couple of fights near the front, in front of the first barrier. Honestly, the IQs of some people.

Yeah, Maynard was awesome and in a very playfull mood, i m o.
I don't know why some of those people bothered to come and see Tool. I saw at least five get pulled over the front barrier and "escorted" out by security after crowd surfing. What a waste! They missed the show of a lifetime.

ooh, an unfortunate friend of mine went there in Manchester to see tool (for the third time) hoping to see pushit or the wings (which he didn't get in Italy last year, neither in Milan nor in Turin)... and he didn't get them once again.
He's also going to be in Bologna, but it's a festival and I guess there won't be any surprise at all once again. Poor friend...
Jambi
Stinkfist
The Pot
46&2
Schism
Rosetta Stoned
Wings for Marie
10,000 Days
Lateralus
Vicarious
Does anyone know how long they played (approximately) at both shows. Judging by the set it had to be well short of two hours.
Night 1 was 1 hour and 25 mins, and night 2 was 1 hours and 45 mins.
