Re: 2007/07/12 - Boston, Massachusetts - Verizon Wireless Amphitheater

I need to upgrade my tickets for this show. I have section 9, row K seats 1,2 & 3. I'm kinda short and can't see very well, I'll also have my 13 year old nephew with me for his first concert of any kind, so I'd like to get closer & under the pavilion. Section 2 would be the best obviously, but I can't afford the ridiculous ticket broker prices. I'd like to get into section 4 - 8 under the pavilion, I'll trade my tickets plus throw in some extra $$ for the upgrade. I need some t.d.n support for this show!! Thanks

How is the Ticketmaster "auction" not considered scalping?

Im in section 1. As cool as it looks on paper, im a little worried that seeing the performance that close but all the way to the side will be kinda awkward.

true... i guess off to the side and far back would be better than to the side and very close.

whatever tho... i'm sure everyone will have a good time, no matter where their seats are.

It has good accoustics...being one of the few stadium sized venues built specifically for concerts.

I don't really like the Tweeter Center, though. Too big and impersonal. Tailgating there is fun, but I've never been particularly impressed with the show itself. I won't be going.

You could see the delay between when Danny hit the drum and you heard the hit, it kind of sucked in that regard. It can sound garbled too.

The Maine show's General admission on a Friday night .... that's proabably the show to catch if you're in the area...

Depending on how far back you are, a delay is hard to avoid. What's good is how much they manage to reduce echo from other speakers (this is actually a really complex problem). I've only been to a handful of shows there, because I don't really like large venues, but I've never had a problem with clear sound.

Re: 2007/07/12 - Mansfield, MA - Tweeter Center for the Performing Arts

I'm so glad that this thread is finally in full effect.

Yeah, I was wondering myself how people actually get sections 1 through 3. I've been to a gazillion shows here and used to be able to get up close all the time. But for the past 2 years or so, even if I'm right in there at 10 a.m. on the button, I get suckass seats. Ticketmaster tried to give me Section 11 at ten seconds past 10. I gave them back, tried again and got Section 4. Makes no sense.

Anyhow, I ended up with Section 4, Row D. How did everyone else do?

-I got section 1 by luck of the draw. I heard a rumor that all of section 2 was auctioned off. I cannot confirm if thats true though.

- Ticketmaster is a fickled beast. Tons of people were probably trying to get tickets at 10 sharp, god knows what seats you'll get. Someone may have canceled your section 4 tickets like you did with section 11, and when you did a new search, section 4 was available.

ps. I should have got GA tickets for Portland. God damnit....

Section 6 is basically behind section 2, from the stage ,facing the seats to the right. Not bad at all.

Awesome view. Section 6 is the next best thing after section 2 in my opinion. I had front row in 6 last time around, it's like being as close as you can get while still being able to see the whole stage show.

Section 2 Row C. They were the first 4 tickets spit out at a Ticketmaster box office at 10 AM. I picked lottery ticket # 1. Same thing happened for the 09/06 show, only I got row B that time.

Scalper guy behind me picked lottery ticket #2 and got section 6, 50th row. He was so pissed. Haha.

It's good to be up close, but you can't hear Maynard very well or see the projections on the stage.

Or you could just buy one from ticket master for $62 ... they're still available....

SEC 5, whatever, I'm in.

I had SEC 8 in '02 and managed to work my way to the third row in SEC 2 .... that was pretty cool.

Roadtrip to ME the next night if anyone wants to carpool?

Section 2, Row N, Seats 21 & 22.

DEAD Center, 14 rows back. I could not be more pumped to go. Best part is, my brother thinks we are in Section 8, I can't wait to surprise him when we just keep walking closer and closer to the stage.

Re: 2007/07/12 - Mansfield, MA - Tweeter Center for the Performing Arts

I had three different people working with Ticket Master for the best seats possible. The best we could do was Section 9, Row J #25 & #26.
I'm concerened about being off to the side too far. Can anyone expound on these seats at all. I may buy some better seats at a higher price and try to sell these.

well people usually hang out in the parking lot there since there isnt really anywhere nearby. So we should get some heads together in the lot before the show.

I got tickets too.I'm in the uncovered but seated section(I wouldn't settle for lawn). From the looks of the seating chart,it looks like I'm pretty much in the same area I was when I saw Rush there 4 years back.I think I'll enjoy it just fine.

It'll be my first show, and I'm happy(yet saddened)to say it'll be my first concert where I'll know every song in their catalog going in.

I also, section 9 row J. I'm concerned about being too far right. Last time around i was in SEC 11 front row and it was pretty good, just a little far. That was my first time seein TOOL and being at a concert in a while. I will tell you that knowing the set list will probably make no difference to you at all, particullarly once you here the opening notes to the opening song. I'm 39 in july and have seen many many shows, and this was quite easily the best concert i have been to. Brought a friend last time and he is coming again. He only knew a few songs first time in. You will be musically mesmorized. To tell you the truth i often found it hard checking out many of the visuals they provide, I was so into the music for the entire show.....
