Who is "Eulogy" about? My guesses are Jesus Christ, Paul D'Amour
(Tool's ex-bassist), or Kurt Cobain.
"There are no songs on the album about Paul. People might think that,
but it's not the case."
Is it about Kurt Cobain? I wouldn't think you'd be a fan of his.
"I appreciate what he did. I'm not really happy with his professional
widow. The song's about tendencies, not about a specific individual.
It's about tendencies of people wanting to stand on a soap box and
sacrifice themselves in some way. We don't need that process anymore.
You're on your own now."
not all martyrs see divinty...but at least you tried....
ranting and pointing his finger at everything but his heart...
I swallowed his façade cause I'm so eager to identify with somone above the crowd...
he had a lot to say, he had a lot of nothing to say!"
So basically, as I see it, what MJK is saying is get off your cross you coward, you fake we neet the space to nail the next fool in line. Don't point your finger, don't lie....you'll be crusified for your sins like everyone else...you are not a saint...goodbye!!!
Jesus Chirst was THE FURTHEST thing from a false martyr.
this makes the song make sense to me.........again......a TOOL song simply overnalyzed...
