Ticketmaster, being the massive corporation that they are, can handle thousands upon thousands of people trying to get tickets on their website at once. I'm pretty sure it's only because the World Arena has some kind of contracting with Ticketswest (any event I've gone to there was handled by tw), but still. I even got tickets to the show at the Buell last year off TM's website with NO problems. I have evil, evil thoughts storming in my brain right now.

Keep trying on ticketswest, I just got 2 GA a few mins ago and I was able to get lower reserved tix too. It looks like the orders that fell through are going back up online.

now I must decide whether to get GA tickets, or try and get some good seats. I've never seen them from seats so I'm leaning towards that. Plus it's a bit safer if I'm not really in the right state of mind. If you know what I mean.

I just hope that the Sears Centre doesn't sell out too quickly. I think it only holds about 12,000.

I did, but I'm asking for someone who's been. Soundwise and view... I looked at pics from google, I found a few of the inside, but it doesn't tell me much.

cock.
The most recently announced dates go through Michigan. Seems like a good place to cross into Canada. Or maybe go back into NY state and then across Canada, and then to the PNW? I think that when the next batch get announced it will be clearer.
I'm only guessing.

I saw Linkin Park (don't laugh... actually you can laugh) and we were in the exact section.. As far as the view goes, don't expect too much. But the sound will be great, I can (almost) guarantee that.

not laughing. :)
we have seats 1 and 2, so is that nearer the middle or on the other end? I assume any isle seats would be better?
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
7th and 8th, im probably just heading to baltimore. richmond to baltimore the next day would be really fucking cool though...im 5 hours from richmond though and only 3 from baltimore
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Ticketwest is a piece of crap for the Colorado Springs show...I couldnt get thru on the phone for an hour after hitting redial on TWO PHONES to 2 different phone numbers and the online site for purchasing tickets didnt work either. The automated line was a piece of shit cuz it couldnt understand that I was CLEARLY saying Tool and then when it would finally get my answer it said i would send me to a service rep then which i got a frigging busy signal. Finally got to an operator an hour later and to section 209 uppper level which i was told was Best available so I took them only to find out a bit later that there were still better seats for sale.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
It's nice that someone laughed at my question, but that wasn't the answer I was looking for. I'll ask again:
How many times does Tool change what they play at shows during a tour? I may be able to get to a couple different shows, and I wanted to space them out so I could see something different each time.

On the first leg, they typically only changed a song or two from night to night, if at all. They added Wings 1&2 about mid-way through the tour and dropped Sober to make room for that, iirc.
Expect to see most of 10,000 Days performed is about the only guarantee you can get. And it's possible if you see two shows that you will end up seeing two identical sets (although I saw 5 shows on the first leg and saw at least one different/new song each time).
Edit- actually both LA shows had the same set list only different orders and minus one song the second night (Right In Two)

Not much. September 2006 through February 2007 they pretty much played the same material, occaisionally in a different order and sometimes they'd add or drop a song but they haven't had much in the way of variety this tour. Check the tour section out and you can see their sets.

Can anyone tell me approximately how far in advance tickets will go on sale though the appropriate outlets....ie Ticketmaster?? I'm looking at the Mpls/St Paul show on June 26th. Is there like a general rule when they go on sale? I just checked now on ticketmaster.com and no dice yet.
Gracias mi amigos!

Im thinking of just camping out this tour when tickets go on sale and using ticketmaster for the other show (Detroit and Grand Rapids shows). Prob get better seats by camping out eh? Also, if tickets go on sale at 10am, do u think 6-8pm would be early enought o get front/close to front row? Im willing to make a 24 hour camp if i have to if you thinkg that's what it'll take.

Camping for tickets is a thing of the past. What you need to do is show up an hour early and bring a crew with you as they will do a lottery system for tickets.
EDIT: Sorry, maybe I misunderstood you. If your talking about camping at the actual venue then you may be right, not sure. But I think most places try to avoid camping for tix, thus doing the lottery.

I asked my son (age 10) if he wanted to go seen them in Albuquerque (we'd seen them in Phoenix last fall). "Will they play any new songs, Dad?" he asked.
