No, but if you go to the auction site, they are selling 1st, 2nd and 3rd row seats, so I'm assuming there will be seats since some people are going to be paying a premium for them.

Has anybody heard if Tool will be coming back to the Northwest (Oregon, Washington)? I saw them at the Gorge Ampetheater in Washington on thier first full arena show for the U.S in August, and I NEED to see them again! I have been one of their biggest fans, and want to go to more shows. I don't know what I'd do If I saw "Third Eye" or "pushit" live. I heard somewhere they are going to be playing some older stuff on thier tour. Anybody heard of this?

There were some rumors going around that they would be swinging around the Northwest after the current dates, but nothing has been confirmed yet. As far as the older stuff goes, don't count on it. Justin said in an interview that this leg would be pretty much the same as the last except for a different stage/light show.

Well, this should be their "true second time around" so it stands to reason they should play a little more off of other albums. Also consider that Vegas is a two night affair as is San Diego a few nights later so I would think they would throw some other material in there. Doubtful we'll get anything other than "Opiate" off of Opiate and anything other than "Sober" off of Undertow seems unlikely, though "Swamp Song" has been a staple lately. I would think we may finally get the debut of "Intension" one of these nights too.

no offense, but is seriously doubt that is the case. from my experiences, a lot of times they list tickets like that to keep track of how many they have sold. i would be very suprised to hear they have a seated floor.

I think "Intension" and "Right In Two" will remain on the set
through the tour, hopefully at least..

Exactly!!! I know what you are talking about... And that's what I thought...
However, Its evident on ticketmaster that official TM auctions are selling tickets on price levels based on the location of rows of seating on the floor. Scalpers on all the internet sites are also selling their tickets this way.
More research revealed that last September's Dallas show (in a large venue) had seated floors.
So, it looks like Greenville and Atlanta and maybe a couple other places will probably have seated floors... its a little wierd... oh well.

I hope you're right, but they had seats on the floor at the Verizon Center in DC last year.

#1 - no, the seats are bolted to the floor or to each other
#2 - so so, you can sometimes move up or over to and empty spot if you want
#3 - Except for some show in Utah, where some people ripped the seats off the floor and started throwing them, pretty tame, but for a TOOL show it's cool.

Yesterday on Salt Lake City radio station X96, one of the DJs played "Stinkfist" and afterward he said that he'd heard a "good rumor" that Tool was coming back around, and that as soon as it was confirmed, the radio station would announce it.

The wichita show is standing room on the floor and believe it or not the seating is GA,meaning you can sit wherever you want, but you have to have a floor ticket to get on the floor............very odd

I was at the Gorge show in late August 2006 and that venue holds over 20,000 and there were seats all the way up to the stage. I have been to 10 Tool shows over all and if I had to choose between seats and mosh pits I will choose seats. Save the pits for Korn, SOAD, and other bands like that. Tool is to much of great experience to ruin it with a pit!
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Honestly, I haven't bothered searching the forum for an answer to this, but any word on who the opening act(s) on this tour will be?

Who gives a shit if they play Intension? I can think of a crap-ton more songs I'd rather hear live.

I've been lurking since last summer and finally feel compelled to post... Is anyone out there still concerned about the rushed healing of Danny's injury? Maybe I'm just being overly paranoid and protective, but after doing all these websearches and talking to a bunch of doctor and trainer friends, they all seem to be in great consensus that six weeks of recovery time is not enough. Just hearing the stories about healthy people and athletes randomly tearing their biceps doing things similar like picking up a box or changing a tire and taking at the minimum, three months to recover is enough for me to think that Danny's recovery is being rushed. I agree that we'd all much rather have the man take as long as he needs to recover and delay seeing him to guarantee he'll be 100% and Tool will be Tool forever and ever and after amen.
