Since no one seems to have answered you, it's when the venue holds the ticket for you at the door, and you pick it up the day of the show.

I can show whoever wants proof of what I paid the email confirmation/receipt if they don't believe me. I seriously paid $250 a ticket from a scalper, and I want to get rid of one. I don't think thats too hard to believe. Brightwell believes me, I think that oughtta be good enough for anyone else.

Are they going to release more tickets tomorrow on Ticketmaster?

And I doubt very much that those ebay sales are gonna be canceled...

Don't you think, for $500, you probably should have at least checked where you're sitting?

Someone brought up something about cancelled tickets. If I were to get tickets through a broker site like Stubhub, would I be guaranteed getting actual tickets? I don't want to have to see these guys in a shitty large venue again.

I've dealt with Stubhub for numerous sports events including nba playoffs this year and never had a problem. I haven't used them for concerts though.

Has anyone gotten thier ticketfast tkts for the Chicago show yet? It's past 72 hours.

Their Buyer Guarantee is fairly extensive, and seems pretty fair:

Why the delay issuing tickets? Im sure everyones getting mighty nervous, what if they change those tickets to will-call? That would really cross up lots of peoples plans.

BTW- reason I figured today was a good day to try for tickets on TM was for possible cancellations coming down from Sat,

Re: 2006/05/13 - Chicago, IL - Auditorium Theatre

I managed to get 2 tickets, in the first few rows of Balcony 1 for 225 a piece... Pretty decent deal. I don't smoke but I was wondering how people are gonna deal with this auditorium not allowing it. A rock show without smoking? That's gonne be weird. And I doubt they sell alcohol, although I'm sure a few of the fans will be taking care of their substances for the night before they go... lol. But still, I've heard that some Tool shows in the past have been riddled with police, not that it will effect me.

I have a question about stubhub:

How long before you get a confirmation of shipping email? I ordered them a few days ago and still nothing, and its kind of getting to me. The longer I wait the more I keep thinking my seller crapped out on me :/

Funny, since the pace has slowed of people buying tickets from stubhub the prices have dropped to like 160.

Thanks for making me feel awsome about how much I spent.

You know what, though? I have awsome seats.

Assuming, of course, I actually get these tickets.

uhh this price drop im sure is making people nervous(not to mention the fact that TM is still to issue tickets), like something is up, sorry I will shut up now... (BTW- these tickets will have our names printed on them, or at least name of purchaser, so you get to know your scalpers real name!)

ps - keep on trying on TM, just noticed some previously sold out Pearl Jam shows are back on sale! Maybe same thing will happen here.

What is the best way to check back with tm? I have the event page bookmarked and I have been going there periodically and entering how many tickets I want and then the word verification. Is there a better way to tell if they have released more tickets?

if you visit the auditorium theatre website, they are officially listing the show as sold out. maybe that only applies to the tickets they sold for 40 minutes last saturday.

when i bought mine from coast to coast tickets, i called to ask when they were sending the tix. the person said 'you didn't buy tix; you submitted a request to buy tix if/when they are available'. a few hours later, the tix were available, and released to me. that was when they sent my email confirm that my cc was charged.

There's some get together talk for pre/post show up under Fellowship on TA. If youre not a member (I don't blame you) then we should start a new thread or start getting a headcount with details in here.

I have one I'm trying to get rid of actually- I originally bought one for 230 and another for 190, trying to get a pair the first hour they sold out without spending like $600+, and it meant me and my girl would be in different rows. After pressure from her, I cracked down and bought a pair together for $450. I sold one of the first pair, but still have this one left. It's row H, Balcony 2. And yes, I know this my first post. E-mail me at [email protected] or PM me if your interested. I'll part with it for $150 + shipping ( like 12 bucks for two day UPS). If your worried about me being a newb i will post it up on stubhub with like your name on it or something, and that way you have a guarentee. Just let me know

chris

Fuck you. I just said I would sell it through stubhub, whom offers a guarantee. Ever sold anything on stubhub? you can't scam on it. did you know I have to enter a valid credit card to be able to sell something on stubhub? And that if i don't ship the tickets, send fakes, or even send the wrong ones ( say a different seat then promised) i get CHARGED for the price i sold them for, because stubhub has to refund the money? read their FAQ. Sometimes I forget the reason why I prefer to lurk at messageboards as opposed to participating and then some assclow such as yourself has to come out of the woodworks and remind me.

Oh, and fuck you again.

To all still awaiting thier tickets:

I'm still waiting too. My friend Adam got one through ticketmaster, and he told me they still haven't e-mailed them. The website says their still being printed. "ticketfast" my ass. Has anyone who bought theirs via TM online gotten theirs? If your seller on stubhub got his/hers via the TM website, they can't send them yet because they haven't gotten them. Check your notifications on stubhub- there should be a message on when they'll be sent and when to expect them.

I called them to see if I could with that extra ticket I told you about. They told that I couldn't cancel it. Trust me I'd rather get a $190 refund than have to sell it at a loss. they have a 800#, I got on the phone with someone within 5 minutes. But they also told me that, first, the seller doesn't get thier money until the tickets are recieved ( verified by fedex) and that if theres any kind of problem at all with the tickets, they have their guarantee. So i'm not worried about. My biggest problem is trying to sell something without much 'net credentials. I guess I can't blame people for distrusting others. But it makes it that much harder.

I'm gonna go cancel the card I bought it on tomorrow, then. If ticket prices are going down as low as people are saying, I'm gonna be out a lot of money...

Can you do that? I thought you had to have fraud or something of the like occur before the CC company will let you do that. Otherwise, you may be on to something...
