Feel free to discuss your brooding excitement. A new thread will be opened (post performance) for reviews ONLY.

What do you want to hear at this show? As I have been to 5 shows, I am very aware that the Set list rarely differs with each album tour. However since I am planning to go regardless I am curious to know what song you would most like to hear live that you have never heard before, and what is your favorite live song that you have already heard. For me it's pretty easy I most want to hear Eulogy and my favorite thus far was Pushit in Nov 2001 my first show. Regardless of what they play, as long as MJK is healthy it will be a kick ass show

Hopefully security won't be as big of assholes this time. I was in the front row at Tool's last Houston show (November 2007) at this venue and they pretty much sucked the enjoyment out of everything before, during, and after the performance.
i see people are already preselling GA tickets on stubhub and ebay but the woman at the toyota center i spoke to on the phone said it'll be a seated floor.
Location: just east of The Rockies, just north of the 49th

Re: 06.20.2010 - Houston, TX @ Toyota Center
Edmonton and Vancouver are GA floor. Which is unfortunate, I think. It allows those douchey moshers to go nuts. Oh well. I'll be have a reserved spot in the 100 level in Vancouver, so I'll be able to LISTEN to the MUSIC without being pummelled in the head.
I'll be happy, set-list wise regardless, however, this would be my ultimate dream, rotating setlist....
1. The Grudge
2. Jambi
3. Stinkfist [or] Swamp Song
4. Forty-Six & 2 [or] H [or even] Eulogy
5. Schism [or] new song (would it be ready? If so, would they bother to play it? Or would they have to release it on an album first for their 'proper unveiling' as part of that whole piece of art?)
6. Lost Keys > Rosetta Stoned [or] Hooker With a Penis > Parabol & Parabola
7. Right in Two [or] Pushit (either version) [or] Eon Blue Apocalypse > The Patient [or] Flood [or] No Quarter
[intermission]
8. Disposition
9. Reflection
10. Triad
11. Lateralus
12. Vicarious (yes, I said Vicarious. I think it actually makes sense to end on that note, and it's a decent number in my book... far from my favourite TOOL song mind you.)
13. Ænima [or] Opiate

Tickets go onsale through the Toyota Center's website, NOT through ticketmaster. Discovered this in my research for when, exactly, the New Orleans tickets go onsale.
Toyota Center ticket purchase procedure sux.Had my hubby trying at the same time and he thought we had 2 for section d row 3, after payment I noticed it was only one. So, had to go back and try again. I was finally able to score section d, row 9 for me and my son. Taking the kiddo to his first concert and the 20th is my birthday!
The procedure does suck, I had Section A on the floor row 2 at first, but only gave you 20 seconds to confirm thats the seats you wanted and you also had to choose how you wanted the tickets sent...
Then only 2 mins to enter your card info or they would release your tix...
Section D, row 9. I'm sure I won't have much visual aspect because I am pretty short and it's a level floor but oh well. This show is more for my kiddo and he's over 6 ft.

Okay, why weren't tickets available at TicketMaster? I do not like the purchasing system at Toyota Center at all. I also missed out on all the good seats, but I'll be there so I don't mind too much. I'm going to be in section 414... will I be able to see anything at all? Is anyone familiar with the Toyota Center?

Agreed, that had to be the worst ticket purchasing experience I have ever had. They are absolutely horrible. And the worst part is they charge as much in fees as ticketmaster does. You would think since it was in-house purchasing that there would be no fees or very little. I will NEVER buy tickets through the Toyota Center website ever again.
Ended up getting seats in the lower portion of 427 which shouldn't be bad at all. I'm hoping for floor seats for the NO show. I will find out tom morning.

It was really horrible.... but I cant complain, im one of the lucky ones... at first I had Section A row 3, then it only allows you 22 seconds to complete the whole page, then I had to redo it and got the same section but row 5. Then only 2 mins to completely finish your credit card info? I mean what if you miss a number? Then you lose your tickets! The Toyota Center should be lined up and stoned for that one! Still pisses me off....
Very much so. I honestly cannot see how someone in their right mind put that system into use. The time was def not enough and the security code was f'd up as all hell. There were multiple times where I had to attempt to enter the code 3-4 times because I could not make out the letters.
Also, I've never seen a ticket company that charges you no matter what delivery method you choose.
It was 4.50 for the virtual ticket, 6.50 for standard mail, or 6.50 to pick them up from the box office yourself.
Again, I will never again use the Toyota Center's ticket place
Alright, enough of my whining about the Toyota Center..... I am Fing psyched for the show. It will be awesome to see them in NO Sat night then be able to drive back to Houston and catch them Sunday night.
My only concern is it being their first two shows. I know last summer that they struggled a bit the first couple of shows and they didn't add Aenima into the setlist until a few gigs in.
To the people asking, the Toyota Center is comparable to the AT&T Center (Spurs stadium), though it's not quite as big. Unfortunately, the acoustics there are just as horrible as the AT&T Center. I went in November of '07, had decent seats, and both Maynard and Justin were very difficult to hear. I definitely would not expect the sound to be very good, which is why I opted for the Cedar Park show rather than this one (I'd suggest everybody consider this if you can afford to trade or get new tickets, the venue is 6 months old and not even half the size of the Toyota Center). Also, the Toyota Center does fill up very well with smoke, so the laser effects will be less than what you're probably used to at an indoor venue.
HOWEVER, during the '07 show, Adam's guitar was mixed way too loud and overpowered everything else. This may be why the sound as a whole seemed so bad. Even with each instrument at the right level though, you will definitely get some unwanted sound reverb at the Toyota Center that you wouldn't get at small to medium sized venues.
Also to those of you who got nosebleed tickets, you should be ok. I don't think the speakers hanging above the band were quite as bad as at the AT&T Center. They may have a different setup this time though. I don't know.

So this will be my 7th time seeing the band, the last time being in San Antonio on the 2009 tour and it was amazing. There was some kind of Aura to it , a raw energy that i had not seen since the 1st time in Dallas on the mini tour but that is a whole other can of worms. Anyway ended up with some pretty okay tickets, sec. 111 row 3, and not to sound smug but I have never been less than 3rd row and honestly I felt it was time for a change. I am excited nevertheless because I do have hopes for a rotating set list< I do have a dream set list but dont see any reason to post because it will NEVER happen and I am okay with that. Well hope to see you all in Houston totes mcgotes

got mine too. very happy, but i noticed a few things that seemed odd/irritated me. first is the $10 "conveinence fee- tool" i think it bullshit that they charged me $10 just cause they could.
my ticket says on it that it was printed on the 13th. why did it take 7 days to mail? i can mail a letter to california in 3 days, 7 days seems a little long. and why was the return adress of the envelope to dallas? why not houston?
eh, oh well. at least im goin

I got my ticket yesterday as well and I wondered all those things myself, but it doesn't matter because I've got my ticket!! I hope I never have to deal with purchasing through the Toyota Center again.
Got my tickets for this show!! Will be my 4th Show..2nd time at Toyota Center. This venue I think kinda sucks sound wise and the security is tight. Other than that it'll be a good show. I'll be in Sec 412 up top. I'm just hoping to hear something new this time.
it was pretty impossible and depressing that i couldnt get the seats i wanted from toyota center when i had anticipated and prepared for them to go on sale well in advance. I ended up getting 2 extra tickets in such a frenzy trying to get anything at all. Better than nothing i guess, section b row 10.... but i'm average borderline short and it will be my luck i get the tallest amazonians ever standing in front of me.... as for the 2 extra seats, yea i still have them (cuz i know someone will be asking lol) : section D - row 11, seats 1 and 2 - if anyones interested send me a message.....
