I wouldn't stay in downtown KCK if you unless you enjoy bullet wounds. I'd recommend you start your trip back home and drive for about 20 miles before you stay anywhere. If you're going back north, drive up to Leavenworth and stay there. To the west, go to Lawrence. Going south, stay in Overland Park or Lees Summit, depending on which way youre going.

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

Anybody got any info on the Memorial Hall venue they'll be playing at??? Is it a sit down, high class joint or is it a small club, typical club for touring gigs??? Also, anyone have any tips on getting a place to stay around the area other than driving out of the city to avoid getting shot.....Any info on this or whatever else would be extremely cool and appreciated. Lets keep this thread going please.

With that in mind I'm thinking it's just like the size of the Civic Auditorium here in Omaha where they played in '02...Any smaller than that would be crazy considering that show was packed...Any more info would be appreciated, thanks.

This is awesome, I was planning on going to Denver for a show until they announced there was going to be one only 30 minutes from my house, I could pay 150 dollars for a ticket and still come out ahead moneywise compared to a trip to Denver.

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

i'd say the capacity is about 3000. there is the floor, which is smaller than a basketball court, a section of rows of seats in a horseshoe (some under the balcony), and then a horseshoe shaped balcony.

i saw them there in 96 and it was great. i can't believe they're playing there again!

has anyone used ticket outlets like supermarkets or record stores to buy tickets for such a high demand show? or would you recommend using ticketmaster's site?

hope to see you all at the show.

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

I've been in contact with Memorial Hall and they said the only way to get tickets was at Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster at Hyvee in Lawrence, KS has free wifi connection, I'll be inline and online for the tickets. Also, any idea if this is a general admission show?

Ticketmaster ONLINE... not IN line... don't fuck yourself. There are no locations selling tickets, only online and by phone.

yep

Ive called twice to just confirm this. Make sure you either call or get online. I would hate for people to go w/o because of a mixup

Also, are we going to try to do ticket sharing? Im trying to get 2 tickets. I know personally myself, my buddy, and my girlfriend are all going to be online at the time attempting to get 2 tickets (multiple people trying never hurt). If we get more than one set of two, I will be selling them here (or ToolArmy) at no extra cost.

I hope others will do this as well. Fuck scalpers. I would hate it if the diehard fans had to go w/o, or pay crazy prices. Keep this in mind when getting tickets

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

I AM NOT FROM THE AREA SO IF SOMEONE COULD GIVE ME SOME INFO LIKE WHEN TICKETS GO ON SALE AND HOW MUCH IS THE AVERAGE PRICE FOR THIS VENUE W/ THE CONSIDERATION THAT THIS IS THE BEST BAND EVER SO TICKETS WILL DOUBLE IN PRICE.
I HAVE ALSO HEARD THEY ARE REALLY CONTROLLING HOW MANY TICKETS YOU CAN GET AT ONE TIME. ANY INFO WOULD BE MUCH APRECIATED.

I spoke with Ticketmaster and was told that you would be able to buy at location. I'm figuring if I'm in line, online, and phone in hand chances of getting tickets are good.

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

Alright...

Other locations are doing this, so Im going to try to take charge of here...

Lets try to get some ticket sharing started. We all want to go...we all don't want to fork over cash for scalpers. I need 2 tickets, and going to attempt to get 6 (that is if 2 tickets is the limit...I will personally call ticketmaster tommorow to confirm this), I have three computers here all up and running, with someone maning each one.

If you want to be added to the list, just reply.

Great. How am I supposed to get my friend's tickets as well? Could I make 2 seperate purchases with the same credit card, or is it 2 per credit card?

if you need 4, why not have one of the other 3 people use their card?

Tickets go on sale in 8.5 hours. Anyone else unable to sleep?

How is everyone going about purchasing them? I'll be at a ticketmaster outlet at 9 am.
