Should the toolarmy membership packages take just as long as this has?

Re: anniversary opiate

I got mine yesterday, now it's all sticky

Maybe there's secrets on the CD, because who is actually going to listen to this? We've all heard Opiate 46,000 times, and have MP3s for the most recent listenings. I'm afraid to plug the USB drive in, for reasons I am not comfortable disclosing.

Re: anniversary opiate

I didnt get a golden ticket or an embossed seal on the coa,but there is a stamp of authenticity on the jacket that holds everything (the part that is autographed)
I dont see how you could frame the signatures since that piece is about 1/4 of an inch thick, without smashing it atleast. Anyone have any ideas?

A shadow box is perfect for this, you could get layers in there and I bet it could end up looking real cool.

Or, maybe your jacket is like mine and it just fell to bits the first time you tried to squeeze everything out of it... ugh. That glue strip on the side didn't last. I gotta figure out something else to do with it.

Agreed...you could do something real cool with a shadow box. Im thinking about doing this. Of course, I got 3 signed posters sitting in tubes I still need framed. Also, have two signed Opiates. Those will be expensive with the museum glass; which is the only glass you want to use.

Re: anniversary opiate

yep, versions 3 & 5. not sure what to do with 'em yet - still looking at everything ...finally. fuckin' tool & kickstarters, i swear... anyway, i think the entire package/design looks, smells, feels, & even tastes great ...new. sound is still old as shit. whatever. & i realize not everyone has had time to review/comment-on their limited editions, but i am somewhat surprised i haven't heard more about this "the greatest tool puzzle ever". seriously, how long did it take you to pry yours open? fffuck! (& i had to do it twice!)

Re: anniversary opiate

I put it in too hard and fast and split the sides. That will be remedied in a nice frame, though.

I was thinking a deep set frame, with mat cutouts for all the artwork, and have the signed part sort of front and center, floating on top of the mat - so the mat also ends up about a half inch above the rest, to give the whole thing some depth.

and as I wrote that, I realized, for $150 the damn thing should have come framed.

Re: anniversary opiate

2 questions:

1. I ordered a Tool Army Membership package march 26th (~2months ago) and still havent recieved it, is this normal?

2. Is there a part of the forums where i can post misc. stuff such as this. I thought there was something like that which would unlock after 30 days of use on the forums but ive not been able to find it.

Sadly this is pretty normal. I know people who've waited 6 months for theirs.

Nope, the forums have been broken for a long time now. As it stands Toolarmy is a borderline scam.

If I msg tool army at their orders email will it speed it the process up? Also Although the forums may be broken, the forums are still really interesting and probably will be updated after the next album release... hopefully anyway

It may speed it up. From memory they tend to batch up registrations and then send a whole bunch out at one time rather than doing them as people sign up.

Re: anniversary opiate

not sure if anyone else noticed but on the picture with the giant priest and seven small priests, there is a small orange 4 and upside down 4 next to each other. Right hand bottom corner next to the large preists 'legs'. Does anyone know what this means? or is it like the printer's logo or something?
