Nah, it came out in May of this year. I've been listening to it from time to time...it's a little too "space age proggy" for me, and Maynard is tapping pretty strongly into the Joni Mitchell vibe...but overall it's not bad

I agree, but I've never been a huge fan of solos to begin with. At least they dropped the talkbox this time around. As if we needed any more gimmicks!

so did dethklok, in fact their whole album was for fish only.
I finally found a store that carried this cd, I am not quite sure how to take the new guitarist. It brings something fresh to their sound, but i dunno... i kinda feel bad for adam. Oh well, the new electronic shit danny does is amazing. His drum solo on fire fly, i think that's the name of the track - track 8 - is fucking awesome! Its so tribal.

Track 8 is terrible and so is the new guitarist... I prefer track 12 and no guitarist.

So.... you haven't solved the puzzle yet?
This song is the key...
If you take this track... delete it and listen to a different band... it'll all make sense.

Anyway, after listening a couple more times, I've decided that Tool will never again rise to their former glory of the late 90s/early 00s. This is probably worse than 10,000 Days (although McRoggles might disagree with that statement).
Carny, I'm going to have to disagree about the drums; they too sound gimmicky and, hell, even programmed.

I'm attending the Lolla show. Does anyone have any reccomendations for bands that are playing the same day as Tool? I didn't see anyone I recognized/liked.
