Saw them on Sunday - pretty good show. Surprised at the low turnout, but was nice to be up close for cheap. He seemed to be in a dancing mood, maybe just because I could see him.

Yeah it was killer. Glad we got Humbling River thats a great tune.

Overall I really dug it. Augostina, Man Overboard and The Undertaker really stood out.

Agostina is an absolutely beautiful song.

i know many people here just cant do Puscifer - but the new album is amazing. by far their best work.

I still prefer COMP but there are some excellent songs on the new album.

Hoestly if you havent seen Puscifer live
, you are missing out. In many ways I respect them more than Tool.

too many people equate puscifer to the "cuntry boner shit" or occasional joke songs.

they haven't even played that song once live in years on any regular Puscifer tours. it's all legit music now.

So much of the time I feel I have such isolating opinions...I love Cuntry Boner. Aside from being funny, I think it's well written. I love Puscifer's deep shit..Momma Sed, all iterations, is one of my favorite songs....ever. But I like really funny shit just as much. But yeah...I feel like no matter what my opinion is...it usually is always the minority one...

Also, what is YMMV?

so many tracks on the new album are like that. serious well written lyrics - with hints and subtle comedy built in the songs.

Simultaneous, The Arsonist, The Remedy come to mind right away.

MJK and Puscifer put an incredible amount of energy and thought into the live shows. Tool puts on an incredible light and visual display all while rehashing 80% of the same material year after year.

I would say my respect for Tool is at an all time low, but that's probably a product of going so far back to the club days.

INMHO Tool is a multimillion dollar corporation that on average of every 5 years, releases some incredible art but if you decide you are going to be a part of a multimillion dollar corporation, and there is nothing wrong with that, you can't go to pieces when lawsuits and other elements of the dark side of doing business rear their ugly heads. It kind of goes with the landscape.

anyway, I'm not going to rant anymore about it. If you admire MJK and are interested in seeing a different side of his personality then Puscifer is for you.

If not, that's cool too.

This new Puscifer record has come out at an important time for me, and I absolutely love the album. Simultaneous is my favorite track, followed by Life of Brian and The Remedy. I feel like people miss out on some of the messages Puscifer is expressing when they focus on the comedy side and write off the band, and vice-versa when they get too bogged down in those messages such that they miss the lighthearted aspects and humor. It's a band that offers a lot, not only with regards to their music, but also their live shows and the emotion they put out there. It's been really neat watching them really grow from album to album.

I convinced a friend of mine recently to go to one of the LA Puscifer shows. They obviously put a lot of thought and effort into the production and I think some Tool fans, even those that don't like the recorded material, might find Puscifer is pretty great live once they're experiencing it. This will be my fifth and sixth times seeing them. I've yet to be disappointed. Different than Tool, yes. But that's kind of the point.
