They called her Red...

...like a fiery temptress tempting me, wearing hardly a thing (including the lofty redolence of sweet, musky cotton candy), dancing erotically specifically for solely me. I press my mouth to hers, though briefly, for she abruptly pulls away and dances erratically, and me, already drooling, my tongue unrolls from jaw agape. And long stilettos and pointy toes protrude the surface of my tongue, her chosen dance floor. But as to balance pain with pleasure, she soothes me, dipping luscious strawberries in chilled cream, insistent in feeding me, alleviating the masochistic tingle, taking away the bitter-sweet sting. "Mmmmmm... yummy".

Interesting. Solid narrative voice, though a rather cliched one.

Yes, cliché indeed, but I'm specifically describing something... the question is, what am I describing? Can anybody guess..? ;)

Marijuana! You are talking aboot pot, the refer: dojo, grass, sweet mary jane, puff the magic ass dragon, hippy crack, the stickiest of the icky, cjeebus, cjeeba, wild strawberries, donkey spunk, um-pencil shavings mom, tea, Buddha, ganja...
Rolled in super thin zig zags.

Cryptic my ass. Everything aboot women is actually about drugs, because women are brought here by the devil to destroy us. I win.

Re: They called her Red...

wrong. i believe that you, sir, have overlooked the use of an ellipsis in the opening line. not cryptic? think again. check, and mate.

Re: They called her Red...

ellipses do not guarantee a cryptic purpose, you know this. There is little cryptic aboot leaving out the unneccesary (see dictionary, the thing propping up your bed). It is meant to build suspicion, engage, and mostly to leave out the unnessecary.

And it is aboot pot, it screams pot, not cryptic: stilettos on tongue, dressed in barely nothing...

there is a difference between an elipsis and a suspensive pause.

I'm having a mind blank, what is a novel called, when it is written entirely in the form of letters to and from people?

Re: They called her Red...

LoL... well that was an interesting array of thoughts. I'm sorry jevons, but you're wrong in saying it's about marijuana, though I can post a lovely haiku I've written on the subject (which I think I will, now... LoL). I'll give you guys a hint though, just 'cause I want to see what more people come up with, as I think this could be interesting... but it's describing the taste of something... but what's the taste? :)

A paradoxical one, one who laughs at irony, as this is apparently the last thing people would ever expect me to be describing the taste of in this manner...
