A Game of Grand Proportions

National Inflation should be the Declaration,
Not some White-washed spiel of Independence non-sense.
For we the people, we're far from free...
Instead we're bonded,
All merely "parts" functioning in a giant pinball Machine,
A game made solely for and by the "elite",
For them to play and rack up points--
An insiders lottery--
Crafted with things that go *ding*,
And flashing lights, both bright and mesmerizing.
And all of us "parts" have been left deliberately screwed and fixed into place
To stand and stare it all in the face,
But, unfortunately,
Because government beholds the human race,
It owns too many minds,
An imperious force for any to face.
Well...
Despite the depression this consciousness can create,
I hold hope for the moment,
Because I know that at least I am still trying.
And then sometimes, still,
I snicker to think about the grander scheme to life--
It still makes me smile to realize time and again
That this here silly pinball Machine is just a game,
Merely one of many.
And as "grand" of a game it may seem to be,
The arcade is immeasurably grander.
