It's a shame, 'cause Indy really got the middle finger this whole tour.
They haven't play San Francisco since 96' damnit! If thats not getting the finger, I dont know what is. The last time they did Aenima was still be introduced into the set list! Oakland doesn't count because they suck and smell (like Reno!). I honestly think Live Nation having this city in a vicegrip musically has something to do with it, the man's gotta have some passion for his fans left...

OHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOY Tool needs to just tour up and down and up and down the coast for the next few months. We shall keep them to ourselves. Who can say 'roadtrip'??!?

kansas city 5-11-06 first 10k days show. went by myself. it was meh, but special still cause it was the first and also the first in a long time.
las vegas 4-27&28-07 ok these shows were incredible. got the swamp song and sober and the sound, venue etc were fucking amazing.
southaven, MS 5-15-07 my first right in two, and the band was on its game this night. great sound for an arena. of course, i was close (as i always am) and it always sounds better whne youre up front.
bham, AL 5-26-07 my first pushit of the tour. i was about 10 rows back, and this show blew my mind. but it didnt prepare me for what was next...
atl, GA 6-4-07 without a doubt, the single greatest concert i have ever seen. get the bootleg, and you will see what i mean.

No doubt. I got to see them at The Gorge in Washington at the end of August 2006. Im praying they come to my city (Boise) so I dont have to plan a road trip to Seattle or Portland again, even though I totally would. Either way I have been checking Toolband.com for the last month everyday waiting to see a west coast tour annoucement and that time has finally come! I had a good gut feeling this whole time they would hit the west again, it is their home after all! CANT WAIT!!!

TOOL TOUR
Although no dates are officially confirmed at this point, it appears that TOOL will be touring the WEST COAST of the USA from mid-NOVEMBER until X-MAS. As soon as these shows are confirmed, I will post the dates and venues on the websites.

It was just "meh"? And you were physically there? Just watching the video alone is amazing. They were in such good spirits at this early point in the tour. Not to mention you got "The Patient" as well.

the only thing that made it meh was they werent as tight as they got later in the tour. plus i wasnt up front, where i need to be. didnt mean to say it was meh, it was tool meh if that makes sense.

Tool "meh" is still better than any other band's "wow" so I see what you mean. I like to see them play a little less tight on occasion because it reminds me that they're human, and it shows some spontaneity (something I miss from them).

Yeah, that's a good point, Indy didn't get a single show. I guess that we lucked out in Chicago getting 3 shows plus all the cities near us. Maybe they'll do what they did in 1998 after the end of the "Ænima" tour and play everything in their inventory and change the set every show...nah, definitely not...but I can still dream.

Noice! Lemme know if you're out this way. We'll do a beer somewhere. Same goes for anyone else in this thread. I am always up for a hang before Tool.
Since SD already got two shows, wonder if they'll get blown off completely this time. Thinking maybe they hit Bakersfield/Fresno along with LA and SF. Then do the Pac NW. I'll hit as many shows as I can, but the holidays are busy time for me (CS manager at a vid game publisher).

Sonnyboy, give me a list of all the Tool shows that you've ever been to. I have a feeling that it will be a glorious list.

I guess in all fairness they did play in Evansville.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
I really hope they play Vancouver. Sure, they played there last August, but they DID play two Hamilton dates this summer. Vancouver crowds are always great, and at least us Western Canadians can make the jaunt. If not, I would definitely hit up Seattle, Portland, Boise, or Missoula. I just hate dealing with the border, especially in terms of not being able to bring drugs across.
Not that I NEED to seem them on some kinda psychotropic, but it helps!
So I'm assuming that between time off they're busy rehearsing Third Eye, and perhaps the extended Pushit?

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
There have been rumors in Louisiana that Tool was coming to New Orleans soon.
And today I had two people swear to me that it's November 17th in the New Orleans Arena, tickets going on sale next weekend.
Info. still not online but I'm guessing these people are hearing it on the radio. I was so pumped when my friend called me I forgot to ask where he heard it.

Yeah dude you have nothing to worry about, you know they will be playing multiple shows all around you in Cali. The only thing you should worry about is getting a ticket as soon as they go on sale haha.

No, they'd be re-making the light show for the grudge as we speak ;)
Oh how I can dream.
I know if they come to Bay Area, we're gonna get Wings because they didnt play it last time, so it's only going to be a little wiggle room in their set. But as long as they actually play vicarious AND Aenima I'm content. I've noticed the big cities getting The Pot most of the time, so I'm assuming that too.

From Toolband.com:
"29 September, 2007 (07:41pm)
STILL WAITING FOR (OFFICIAL) TOUR DATES
Remember what happened to the two Los Angeles Tool shows that were listed on TicketMaster? They (TicketMaster) had to pull them because... things change. As for the new tour dates, we (myself included) are still waiting for the shows to be confirmed. As of Friday (September 28), in speaking with the band's management, there were still a few details to be worked out before these dates could be confirmed. Once the shows are official, THEY WILL BE POSTED in the news and in the tour section on this site. Therefore, if you've seen some dates listed, these may or may not be accurate, depending on any last minute changes. Again, we hope to have the official dates soon."
Just want to make sure that no one gets their hopes up like the last few times.
