Any info about ticket sales yet, i saw that the ones for san antonio show go on sale 7/22 according to ticketmaster. Are they going on sale at the same, or close to it?
that's a perfect time for them to go on sale. I'll be there, hopefully with my lovely wife and maybe our oldest boy. It will be his second tool show. Anyone wants to organize a meetup, just let me know.
The best reserved seats are already probably gone to the scalpers... err... "ticket brokering" sites... The rest of them will go pretty quickly I'm sure.
It sure would be nice if Ticketmaster would start listing some of these shows that are supposed to go onsale... like Dallas and Houston.
And what ever happened to those nice TOOLArmy presales? Bah...
No presale on toolarmy yet, hope they do before sat. The fall tour isnt even up on their tour section yet. I'm looking to get the absolute best seats I can get. Anyone have any suggestions on which route to take, via online, in line, or phone? Going for the same in Dallas. Oh, and tool is up on the woodlands site now. Tickets go on sale this saturday and I assume dallas will as well.
I'll be attending this. It'll be my first time seeing Tool.
I think it's better to get tickets from the acutal venue rather than a ticketmaster location (like Warehouse Music) because the pavilion charges less fees.

Just wanted to let you know that you should probably go read the Pavilion website. If I remember correctly they don't start selling tickets until a couple hours later than ticketmaster, which would obviously make it a bad idea.
I saw tool here during the 2001 tour. It's an open air pavillion, and the sound is EXTREMELY soft, no power at all, even from the seats. If your in the lawn, you might as well not even bother.

Great, just got lawn seats cause everything else friggen sold out :( I was there right at 10 too
Through some miracle I got a pit ticket... but I'm still really pissed for others whom I think are getting screwed over, once again.
@ psims23 : I'd bet that a good portion of the seats were already reserved for "ticket brokering" companies way before they went onsale to the public. Sure, sure... some fortunates get good seats, and I definitely count myself in that group, but honestly, how is it possible to buy tickets right when they go onsale and not get a seat at all for this show? My brother was online at 10 to get San Antonio tickets and he was stuck with 200 level... that's the top tier. That is seriously, seriously fucked up. So ticket prices keep rising, and it's getting harder and harder to get good one's. Something needs to change, and I think TOOL can have a hand in it.
Honestly, no fanclub presale, and then seats on the floor? That's not right. Trent knows how to treat his fanclub. Presales, early entry into shows, sometimes even a soundcheck and meet-and-greet with fanclub members. I'm pretty disgusted here, honestly. I've been going to TOOL shows for 9 years now. The Dallas show will be my 30th (knock on wood)... but I'm starting to lose faith... TOOL has always put on a great show and I've always been entertained, even when Maynard had to walk off the stage in the middle of a song and drop two more songs from the setlist due to throat problems, but surely something could be done about this ticket situation. Maynard released a statement after the fiasco with the minitour shows, but so far it doesn't really seem like they're coming through.
Well, guess i got lucky, got 2 in JJ (right). Its the first row on the upper level so it will at least be nice to not have anyone directly in front of me. Will be my first TOOL show :)
don't let these guys bum you out with there talk about crappy tickets. i had crappy tickets to my first tool show and it was still an awesome experience, even considering i've seen probably around 50+ concerts.
wow i was lucky... got row VV (last one) center.
is this a good seat?
yea I got VV 25 & 26 center. I fucked up though and passed on on a couple of row X tickets thinking i could get better. lol. My wife has been there before and says the seating is not that bad. It's a fairly small venue, relatively.
