I went up the east coast of Australia over new years and got some night shots on my way. I'll post a few of the better ones over the next couple of days, but for now, here's Bonnie Hills overlooking Port Macquarie on a night with a reasonably full moon. You can see the lights from Port Macquarie lighting up the clouds.

Oh, I don't need no doctor to tear me all apart!
I just need you, to mend my heart.

aabb, I like the sunset shot out your window. I'm a big fan of sunset shots in general, and this one's got some nice colours.
Here's an edited version of a photo I took just before new years last year. It was originally very dark, as you can see in the link on the flickr page. It's all moonlight.
Thanks, glad you like them, it's appreciated... I don't make a living out of it officially, but I sometimes use photos I've taken in the work I do, which is web / graphic design. Most of the time though, it's just something I enjoy doing.
Uh, is that a Christmas ornament? Just kidding, it's always so rewarding yet somewhat heartbreaking when you find a pic opportunity that can only be taken a few certain ways, the bad thing is you almost always end up in the shot. If you'd shop yourself out of it it'd be way cooler, but I think you know that. Otherwise, I think it's cool.

I like it, you could do some cool shit with that, and it looks like you already have. Is it some kind of extreme fish eye, or did you seriously just shoot a christmas decoration? (it looks like you might have)..
Oddly enough, I took this on my phone a few days before I saw aabb's escher shot. I was reminded of that photo when I looked through them. It's shot against a harley's fuel gauge.
...I had been working on this for a while now. The idea came to me about a year ago, and I had tried it once, but it really hadn't come out how I wanted it to. I forgot all about it until recently when I was sitting around one night. Decided to give it another go around, see if I could figure it out. This worked...not to the effect I desired, but it's alright. I hope to one day better this. Technically, it's shitty. Blurry mess. I got really agitated that night. I'll have to gather my patience and try it again in the future.

You might be surprised how that image comes up with a bit of a tweak in photoshop. At the moment, the levels of the photo aren't balanced, which basically means that the contrast between light and dark tones isn't equal. There aren't many areas which are pure black. I can show you the difference if you don't have photoshop. Or not.

Either way, I like it.
I actually no longer hold the wonderous PS...I would appreciate it greatly, but don't feel it's necessary.
