3D Modeling in Z-Brush

So I found out about a program called Z-Brush around a month ago and have been learning it. Here are the results of my third attempt at modeling a head. There are a few problems with it I know, such as the lower eye lids and the eyes being a little off center. I am working to correct that with my current attempts. I am not sure if this really qualifies as art because I was not trying to say anything with this work, it is just a boring head with no emotion in an empty environment. After several more months or maybe a year of work I hope to be skilled enough to start to create full digital paintings. Anyway here it is; any comments and critiques are very welcome.

Re: 3D Modeling in Z-Brush

Awesome man, way cool.

That's some great modelling. I've done mesh modelling before, where I was extruding polygons to make a shape... is that what you've done here?

First I created a low polygon model in 3d Studio Max poly by poly.

Then I took this 400 poly mesh and imported it into zbrush and upped the model to 1,000,000+ polygons. I then sculpted all the detail into the model with the tools in Z-brush. The small details like pores and wrinkles I painted in photoshop before projecting them onto the mesh. You can see what I am talking about if you go to youtube and search for zbrush and watch some videos.
