Does anyone else who ordered the vinyl not find the Order History link on the Tool Shop? It was there right after i placed my order, but now it's gone.

has anyone noticed that the previous post by Blair referred to the autographed copies as limited editions while the picture of the album in the shopping bazaar had a limited edition sticker on the cover.
Notice also the phrase limited edition is highlighted by blair in bold capitals as if he is dropping a hint and the exhorbitant price tag.
Those of us who decided to wait may have been had
Damn, I can't believe they're gone already, sure glad I was up to order mine. Order number 12895. I wonder how many werein this first "Limited Edition". And what ever happened to those autogaphed copies? I wonder, I hoped they used that purple sharpie.
To BreakX:
I found my copy of Aenima at a used record store. I was out vinyl hunting, looking for copies of undertow and opiate. They didn't any tool (except a grey pressing of undertow for $75) so I was talking to the dude at the counter and happened to mention Aenima. He then turns around and pulls out a copy of aenima hidden in the shelves behind him. They had a good price on it, so it now lives with me. I haven't got opiate or undertow yet since dropping a bunch of cash on aenima, but at least those are in print and sell for fair cheap.
For everyone asking questions about autographed copies, and whether the ones that were just up were the signed ones etc etc etc etc, heres your answer:

Contrary to what you may have read in a chatroom or heard through the rumor mill, the LIMITED EDITION COPIES OF LATERALUS AUTOGRAPHED BY THE BAND MEMBERS which will be available EXCLUSIVELY to members of the Tool Collective (TA) have NOT yet been posted for sale in the shopping bazaar on the site. As I've already said, as soon as I get more details about these, I will give a big heads up so that those members who want to purchase a copy will have a chance to get one.
Just read over the posts on toolband and it seems to me that if you interpret it using the right grammar that the autographed copies are the only thing that is limited edition and only will be available to TA members and it never says anything about the normal pre-order vinyl being limited edititon or special in any way compared to those that will be in the shops. Read it. You will understand if you real all the posts as one. THankyou
But the picture they had up in the shopping cart for the toolband store vinyl had a sticker saying 'limited edition'. The copies that go for sale later in the month in stores probably won't have the holographic cover or be picture disks.

See...
Just because it says limited edition doesnt mean its that limited. im pretty sure all copies of salival say limited edition, i no mine does. That stickers gonna be on all of them IMO

The limited edition most likely referes to the first pressing, which is probably around 125,000 like aenima was. There was only one pressing of salival as the limited edition sticker on those refers to that as well.

125,000 is a LOT of vinyl. I can't see them pressing that many. A few thousand yes, but not 125. Well that's my opinion at least...

Was the Aenima pressing really that many?
I guess it's not something that you'd want to sell if you care about it. Most of the ones that end up on eBay are pretty beat up.
Well, it's just a demo still. I got sent one cause I know Blair personally. I would upload some songs for you guys, but I would be violating my discretion contract.
There's an update on toolband regarding the case of the missing vinyls

I'm still getting lots of emails from people who are trying to figure out what happened to the limited edition "Lateralus" vinyl. As most of you already know, pre-order copies were made available in the store on both sites on August 1st (PST) just as I said they would be. So, at midnight it appeared in its full glory, only to disappear several hours later when ALL THE COPIES SOLD OUT. Those who weren’t able to obtain one should keep in mind that they are due to be released in record stores on August 23rd. Also, as I've already said, a limited edition of autographed copies will be made available to members of the Tool Collective once they are individually signed and manufactured utilizing a special process that will enable the signatures to be preserved on the record, itself, as opposed to the album jacket.
Note: "...once they are individually signed and manufactured utilizing a special process that will enable the signatures to be preserved on the record, itself, as opposed to the album jacket."
I think these signed copies are gonna fetch one hell of a price.
Were talking about the autographed copies, at first i thought maybe about 100 - 150 each, but after hearing that they are having special treatment done on each one to preserve the signatures, fuk, i rekon about 200 - 400 each, easy.

i wonder if there is a limit to how many you can buy of the signed records? If not, i'd buy two and wait awhile to sell one on ebay to some tool. ...pun intended.
