Unlike 10,000 days.. i needed to listen to Lateralus all the way through. It started skipping right when maynard comes in on Reflections. I couldnt take it anymore so i was forced to rebuy the cd.
Ive bought like 3 opiate aenima and lateralus. 2 10kdays. and at least 4 undertows i know that. I seem to have a curse on my tool collection, they all get scratched, broken, or go missing. I havent had one undertow CD for over a year yet they all keep scratching and getting lost.

Re: How many copies of Lateralus have you bought?
I was lucky enough to get Lateralus giving to me by record label as a promo since I put it up fpr adds in 2001 as a music dir.@ college radio sta. in Msla. I'm maticulous bout my music. I would buy CD and tape it that way my cd would be in stellar condition and have quite an eclectic collection of styles... ranging from classic rock to triphop and experimental :>) As for Tool I have "Bottom feeder", rare tracks of napster, going to get 10kd today.. all have heard are video's. Going to see them tomorrow, have seen hundreds of shows but nothing like "Tool"

bought a second copy of lateralus to get the promo schism single they were giving away with it, but i went and sold the album straight away. I'm still on my original (lateralis, you know it). i have had a stupid number of 'undertow's' though.

I was reading Blairs latest update tonite and he mentioned hidden messages where when your first cd gets scratched you want to go buy another immediately, and thats true, i've bought 4 i know of. i wonder if we're being brainwashed into some fucked up cult, i feel like ive been brainwashed into the cult of fucking CORRECTNESS but, whatever man, im just curious as to if that holds up with everyone because he seemed confident when he said "thought so"
does nobody make mp3 anymore? i make mp3 of all my cd's and shelf the cd so i don't get scratches.

i gone through three undertow cd's myself, but that is because back then there was no mp3 players and making mp3 collection on your computer wasn't largely popular yet.
I bought my fourth copy today, to send to my brother in China.
Thats awesome. Spreading the love.
I picked up my third copy yesterday because my other one was skipping...Damn scracthes..haha. I gave the bad copy to a friend at work that wanted to see what Tool was about.

I wouldnt be able to sleep man. Triad was skipping like a mofo for me so I had to do something about it. Those damn cd repair kits dont do a damn thing for you but make your wallet weigh a dollar less.

Actually, funny story, my Dad (yes I said that right) bought Lateralus and he was the one who introduced Tool to me. I have a burned copy that I got from him years ago and have since put it onto my computer/Ipod and the rest is history.

Thats really cool man. My dad got me into Tool when undertow was released. My Dad AND MOTHER are Tool fans. My dad more than my mom though but my mom absolutely loves 10,000 days(the song) and vicarious. She doesnt really know anything else besides Schism, Aenema, sober, etc. (Radio play). I guess being a Tool fan will run in my family for years to come. I will pass the material on..I will promise you that. ;)
This band is extremely special to me and I'm glad that Im on this earth to enjoy them.

Yeah, my dad has pretty unusual musical tastes compared to most of my friends parents. I mean he likes the usual dad stuff, but he also really likes Tool and APC. The newest musician that he introduced me to is Damien Rice, he probably wouldn't go over big with this crowd, but if you like relaxing, well written music, it's pretty good.l

I have only bought one CD, but won't let anyone but myself touch it, for fear of any hand but my own delicate ones, would break it. And it is one of my favorites...so don't touch it or I'll go crazy OCD on you!
I buy them in such a way that I own a number which is a step of the Fibonacci sequence. I have... one right now. I'm going to buy another one when I damage this one to the point that listening would be a bitch, and then I'll have two...
also ive bought opiate twice, undertow thrice, aenima twice, and i need a new copy of 10,000 days. i knew i shouldve bought two at that 9.99 price. oh well.

Wait, $9.99 is cheap?
...this is what I get for buying at used places and Rolling Stone Records all the time. There, $9.99 is a bit more expensive than average for a single-disc album.
I have no clue how many copies I’ve bought of any of the Tool albums. If one of my friends has a birthday I buy them a tool CD. The one I think fits them best and then the next year I get them a different one. As for my family I buy them all tool albums for Christmas and since I know they don’t like Tool and they probable just throw it away that’s what they get every year. Hell they will all learn to love Tool or enjoy getting gifts they don’t want.
