Today is the first day since last Tuesday I've started to listen to something else beyond 10,000 Days, in which I felt like I was drowning a bit.
What other bands are other people listening to to mix it up, as it were?

been listening to a bit of air. and white rabbit.

i can't listen to wolfmother anymore. it got over played on the radio during the summer and i saw them heaps of times. wolfmother has a much more summer vibe for me.

1) I don't listen to the radio anyway.
2) Wolfmother is just now getting big over here.
3) It's just now getting to summer here.


But I do know what you mean about different weather for different music. I listen to different music in different seasons...

its interesting to see a couple of wolfmother fans in the mix. what does it all mean?

theyre starting to break through over in the states now

but im into throwback stoner rock and wolfmother fits that mold very nicely. me and some buds are gonna check them out in concert first chance we get.

i've seen wolfmother 3 times. a couple of times at festivals and once in a small enclosed bar. they seem to do better in front of a small audience.

a one festival they produced the craziest and most violent mosh pit i've ever been in. some people opened a skank circle and then a dozen people crowd surfed into it, and then it closed on top of them. pretty scary stuff.

I've just been listening to shitloads of Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Kraftwerk and Autechre to balance out the Tool.

fuckin nice selection. if you listen to enough crazy glitch 'IDM' then tool might seem to make a bit more sense.

By the way,from all the bootlegged shows I've seen/heard this is the only where maynard says something like "from now on this is our favourite place to play".

I have to agree with that first choice of yours. I'm a pianist and for me, there's no greater joy than being able to conquer one of Chopin's etudes or fantasies.
