You would think only needing one increases your chances. But I have since re-thought that a bit. I think it is possible that if you are looking for an odd number of seats, especially one, that you may get bumped around more than if you are looking for 2-4-6. Maybe it's just me, but if the TM computer sees 2 tickets isolated in a section it leaves it to be sold as two tickets. It only starts selling 1 seat tickets when that is all that is available in a given section. Just a theory and I am probably totally wrong.
I got lucky too during this recent re-sale and I got in a skybox on the second night (202 on the first night). I love hearing stories like yours since I too am one of those guys who just keeps randomly checking. I got tickets for the first SD show that way too. It had been sold out for a long time, but one Saturday I thought I'd look and I got row 12 in a close section. It pays to keep after it!

Shit -sounds like were all there for the opener! -knowing the bands history there may be song or 2 different but it's not like the old days where the visuals weren't that big of a factor and they could go in and just wing a setlist off the top of their heads ---everything has to be mapped out for the lighting and video ---again you might see a song or 2 diference but I'd rather be there for the 1st night myself --It will all be brand new that night --again no setlist to study before hand and no1's opinion to get rapped up in before you see it for yourself --the saying goes always go with your 1st choice --- did you?
Yeah, I went with my 1st choice for the same reason you posted, its the 1st, not the 2nd, but THE 1st! which is excited as fuck right now, I cant wait, as it gets closer I get way more excited

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!! i called and confirmed my tickets on the 28th of march and they still cancelled my tickets. i am so sad right now. i talked to a manager at TM and she says that she will try and help me because she saw in the history that i called on the 28 and also on the april 2 just to double check. i fucking called them twice just to make sure!!! so anyways hopefully she will be able to help me. fuck this, i feel help less now. goddamn it.

Does your credit card show a refund? After reading this I checked my online account, thank god it doesn't show a refund but I'm going to double check with TM just to make sure. I called back on March 19th to confirm that I would be attending both shows after receiving a voicemail from TM...
Keep trying don't give up every day try around ten or noon I'd bet more will be leaked out. There are I'm sure comps that will not be used, they will resell them. I have scored last mintue tickets a few times. Beside using your P.C. call ticketbasturd ask questions some of the agents are cool and might help you out with some info. As I was watching for these tickets I clicked on Reno just for fun an a wheelchair seating ticket came up but only when I searched one. Or in the mean time apply for a job at the Pearl and maybe you can get to work that night?

that is the only reason why i call ticketmasters today because i saw that i had fucking 300 dollars in my checking magically. god my heart sank when i saw that ticketmaster had refunded my money. of course they took 7 dollars from me for the cancelation fee, so i have 7 dollar pieces of paper now. so just look and see if you have any deposits from TM. i hope the manager that i talked to could find a way to hook me up. i had section 303 which is up there but this venue is so small that every seat is good. so i guess i will keep trying on getting those tickets back. :( haha. i am sad

At least they have on record you're call on the 28th and they're acknowleging they made a mistake and are somewhat trying to help. There's got to be a few seats they leave available for guests or whatever. How many tickets did you have?

^ i had three. yeah i called on march 28(which they have on record) and on april 2(the last day to call). on the 28th i called the utah ticketmasters and then on the 2nd i called the Nevada ticketmasters and both said that i have confirmed that i still own my three tickets. thanks guys, you all are bad asses. i have got a private message from somebody trying to help me out. anyways thanks guys for caring i guess and the luck you guys bring me we will all hopefully be drinking some beers before the show on april 28. i would really like to meet some of you guys just because it is always enjoyable to talk to people from all over the world, plus you guys love TOOL just as much as me!
April 5th, huh? Sounds like they did refunds right before they re-sold the tickets. With luck they won't pull this crap with anyone else now that the new sale is done. Still, I hate hearing about this dude. Hope someone can help you out.

Man, no way to know. I don't think there were all that many. Before the tickets went on re-sale, I was talking to a TM rep and had her take a look. She said she could see seats but could not pull them up to sell. She said there were some on the floor both nights and some in the stands both nights, but not many. That was a few weeks before the re-sale though so maybe they added more right before? Dunno.
