Drive to Westport road after the concert. Westport is great on Thursday nights. My favorite bars are Kelly's, Harpos, Buzzard Beach, and Dark Horse (best pizza in Kansas City),

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

I can't believe I got tickets, I was excpecting to have to pay some scalper a couple hundred dollars. This will be my 11th tool show but with the venue being so small I bet this will be the best one yet.

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

Whats the deal with the Balc? Is it general admission there too becasue my tickets says BALC and then K-PHIN for type. Anyone know what that means? I don't really care where they are, a venue this small there are really no bad seats. Also do you have to be 21 to get in the bars in KC because my friend coming with me is only 20? Thanks for the help.

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

I managed to get to GA balcony tickets. Personally, I think floor seats for Tool suck. I prefer to sit and watch them properly. Their music really isn't....moshable except for a few tracks on Opiate. Personally I'm psyched. Did anyone find it odd that including service charges the ticket price was 66.66 dollars? Hmm...I wonder if that was intentional.

Quick question: Since the concert is supposedly GA, does that mean regardless of where your ticket is you can go to the floor or the balcony? Just curious.

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

GA at Memorial Hall is split between the floor and the balcony. You have to go whichever of the two your tickets says. Floor gets wrist bands.

I got some tickets, but my friends need more. This is probably a fruitless venture, but if you have extras PM me and I'll take them.

I think you have to stay in the section assigned, but can roam about freely within it. I have an extra ticket to the KC show, Balcony GA. $73.76 is what I paid, so that's what you'll pay.

Hey Cold Flourescent, I saw you had an extra ticket and PM'ed you about it but in case you were just on forums thought I'd throw a message up here as well. If you still have your extra ticket please let me know, or if anyone else out there has an extra ticket please let me know!! I'm so close to KC and sadly was one of the 11am button mashers to get shut out of ticketmaster this morning :-(. I'd love to share this experience so Cold or anyone else, if you've got a ticket, please let me know!! Thanks

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

It sold out fast because of all these ticket places that buy them and then sell them for 220$ per ticket. I logged oin tried to buy a tick for me and my boyfriend and nothing..sold out.. I did a serch for kc Tool tickets and found a BUNCH of sites where I could buy one for over 200$ a pop.... that is so wrong, I have a morgage and work hard for my money I dont have 400$ for that. I wish people would stop paying these prices so that companys would stop doing this. As long as people buy them, they are not going to stop.

And if anyone can spare 2 tickets I will buy them for a resonable amount.

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

So I'm thinking of paying the fucking scalpers....but I'm confused about this show. I know it appears, and people are saying, that the tickets are only floor OR balcony, and that's it... but if that's the case, why are some "balc ga" tickets more than other "balc ga" tickets on the scalper sites???? I'm confused.

I've counted at least 400 tickets that are being sold on different sites, I say blaspemy...Fucking online scalpers...If anyone is in the Omaha Metro Area with extra tickets willing to sell I'm still up for buying along with the 400 other people who lucked out...

They all charge different prices. Some people will only go to one site and still pay more.

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

I think the reason they are listed at different prices is that the company merely provides a means for various other people to sell their tickets. Having read their FAQ (in utter disgust, which we will get to later), it seems that what they do is simply provide an online forum for other people to sell their tickets. That being said, my own personal opinion (and that's all this is) is I would rather not see the show than pay these people to rip me off on tickets. Essentially what they are doing is making their money by screwing over honest fans who just want to see someone they enjoy in a special venue. Blame capitalism, blame scalpers, blame me for not hitting the "Find Tickets" button at just the right time, but I personally will choose to miss the show before I give these leeches a single dime. They are bastardizing the work of others to make money simply because they happened to be able to get their hands on tickets, and that to me, smacks of wrong. /end rant. If any genuine ticket holders out there are unable to attend I would love to buy two tickets to this event from an honest seller, feel free to PM me if you happen to have a ticket you are unable to use.

Peace
Christian

1pygmy: I wish I had tickets to offer in trade. Are you planning on going to the KC show if you can't find Dallas tickets? If you don't find a trade and aren't able to go to the KC show, I'd be happy to pay with my firstborn, and a reasonable dollar amount as well.

I'll pay 140-150 dollars for an extra balcony ticket if anyone has one, I got two but there are three of us going and don't mind paying the markup as long as I get a ticket.

Seriously, how bad is the parking? My car is a huge attention getter with the $10,000+ of aftermarket crap...

I'm willing to pay extra or walk a mile for a secure parking lot, is there anywhere I could go?

I have one ticket, and I've only been to KS a couple times, anyone from Iowa or nebraska heading over to this show that would maybe want to meet up to go to the show? First time going to a show by myself and I have to admit I'm kinda nervous, because I'm horrible with directions. If your interested, just PM me.

If you are stading in front of the venue facing away from it, there is a secured lot, actually a police lot that is public at night I believe, on the street that runs by on your left hand side. It is one block down this street as if you are heading away from the venue. This is where I always used to park.

Re: 2006/05/11 - Kansas City, MO - Memorial Hall

If anyone knows where to find 1 ticket please let me know. It sucks that they are doing these small venues. It's helping the scalper and a lot of the hardcore Tool fans have gotten screwed or will be getting screwed when they pay their $200+ for a ticket. They need to play 2 nights at each venue or just say screw the small venue tour. Just had to get that off my chest. If anyone knows of 1 extra ticket please help, if not enjoy the show. Should be awesome.

This is where I got mine. I got lucky. We were like number 36 (maybe 10th in line?) or something and I didn't think were would get in. Couldn't believe all the people who kept getting in line after the raffle thing. Never thought about bringing the laptop. Good idea.
