A story based off the "characters" I see here.

To begin with, here are the cast of characters. For added effect, names will be changed to fit into a more fantasy setting, and pronunciation should also be considered differently.

The realm itself=Tulopia(TA-LOW-P-AH)

Cronos=Cronos(Crow-No-S)
Graf=Graf(Not necessarily a board member, consider him what you will, even an extension of me)
reign3=Reign
deviantwolf625=Deviant
neochrist=nee'okrist(Sounds like knee, ah, chrised::Oh, and damn the pronunciation keys for not copy and pasting here!!)
Thrakandor=Thrakandor
Lautreamont=Lautreamont
a divine martyr=Thaak
All One Mind=Oam(OH-EM)
nomanirvana=Noman
The Source=Darius(I like the way DA-RE-IS sounds better)
euthanasia=euthan(U-TH-IN)

On with the story...

"Reign, you are young now, but when this civil unrest is staved off you could very well rule in my stead. I am a man of ambition Reign, and I see that ambition in you. No man may rule forever, this much is set in stone. Every ruler's time comes, but you would be a suitable successor that I trust would keep order where there was once none."

The realm of Tulopia has always been in a constant state of civil unrest. With ego's so big, every man with power always had to stake their claim in it. Chaos was strewn by the ambitions of those with far to much to prove, and the people of the realm suffered for it. Cronos, who has gathered quite an amiable amount of respect amongst the people surrounding him, has amassed quite a formidable force to the many others trying to make their appearance known. He speaks to his long time friend, Reign, who he has a great deal of admiration for. Reign in turn has a significant amount of adoration for Cronos, who he learns from and takes counsel from. Cronos believes he can make a name out of Reign, and has come to bring Reign to this realization as well.

"It is far to early for you to plan out our future Cronos. First we must quell the anarchist forces that strike from the underground, those forces led by the visionary Darius. His forces are vast, and they have no love for a world led by great men. Rather, they would see the end of all organized society, and go back to the shadows from whence they came than to be deified for carrying the traits to lead men."

That was ten years ago, and much has changed. Though Cronos still sets his sights on a throne, there are new thorns in his side...Cronos placed too much faith in his disciple. Inevitably, Reign was to betray him...

If interested I will continue the story, but I have to cut it short as I feel anyone will be too intimidated to read anything that looks too long. If you read it, just tell me to add a bit more. I will add more for those to continue reading if you want to read it.

Re: A story based off the "characters" I see here.

With the birth of a son named Graf, Cronos placed new hopes in his newborn. Reign, in his most ultimate act of arrogance, sought out Darius to form a pact in order to end Cronos. Darius, seeing that this was a ploy to allow Reign an opportunity to carry out his own ambitions, had denied him. The news was quick to travel, and a trusted advisor of Cronos', Lautreamont, informed him of Reign's latest endeavors.

"Cronos, I regret to tell you I have ill news. Reign seeks aid in bringing about your demise, he has already contacted the anarchist forces led by Darius. Clusters of your forces no longer remain loyal to you, certain divisions have disbanded and there has been no word as of yet what exactly has happened to them. We must assume the worst, and that Reign has splintered from your watchful eye and has formed his own rogue military presence. No longer can we consider this rumor and hearsay. It all adds up, and Reign has been missing from your influence for quite some time now."

Cronos arises from his lofty perch, and slowly steps forward to Lautreamont as he begins to speak. "This concerns me greatly Lautreamont....If Reign were to betray me it would devastate me. I've sent these paltry forces to their deaths on enough fronts as it is, I cannot afford to divide my forces up anymore then they already are." Lautreamont clasps his hands together and raises them over his chin, "And...what of your emotional concerns?" Cronos quickly jerks his head to face Lautreamont in the eyes and indignantly replies, "Insignifiant! If I show but one sign of weakness in dealing with this, Reign will have it exploited, and relish in the death of me." Lautreamont looks down to the floor so as to avoid the flare in Cronos' eyes. "So I see, what would you have me do?" Cronos raises his hand in a gesture as if he's brushing something away, "Reign intends to hide from me, so see to it that he cannot." Lautreamont grins...and dismisses himself from Cronos' chamber.

In order to keep each of the posts as bearable to read as possible, I cut portions out. The portion containing Noman was cut. That will be for the next segment.

Diojeans, is just a mockery of Diogenes. Which, obviously makes you an actual member of these boards, but another poster. Did I make one of your other alias' a character, and not even know it's you?

Even still, the next portion that I did cut merely mentions Noman. The first post had to explain the backdrop, and the second post was to set up the storyline surrounding the initial betrayal. The next portion may not get to Noman in depth, I have no idea. The part I cut kind of flipped over to Reign and how he fares off. Your good buddy Noman is mentioned, I just cut out one paragraph. I still gotta write up more, but I doubt it'll feature Noman in depth. It has to explain Reign, and set up the story to give him something to work with.

I don't know how long it'll be, but I suspect at least 8 posts total to make it complete. So, maybe 6 left. Depending on how long or short I make the next portions.

Rest assured, your good buddy Noman will "star" and have his part.

This is some of the most entertaining stuff I've read...
It's got a mythical folklore feel to it, which makes lord of the rings inferior to this tale of woe, lust for power and betrayal...

Re: A story based off the "characters" I see here.

Reign, although foolish in his decision, did not go without some assurance that he would be able to stake his claim to land and men. With his hasty retreat from Cronos' ever vigilant operations, Reign had his own trusted friends follow him into hiding. Oam, and Noman, holding significant rank in Cronos' clan followed Reign among the few others that had been convinced by his ambitions, influenced by his determination, and rallied under his luster. There was another...Deviant, holding no particular standing in any of the clans, became Reign's most valuable aid. He showed Reign kindness when he was outcasted from Darius' presence, he gave him shelter from the forces that would be seeking the bounty on his head that was soon to come. Reign knew that, and when Reign ran into Deviant it was the start of a new beginning. As he hid away in Deviant's cellar, the two found common ground, and it was easy for Reign to manipulate Deviant into following in his ambition. Reign, used Deviant as a communicater to Cronos' men, seeking out the ones that Reign had made an impression on. Within the clan, Cronos had organized groups led by warlords. Reign knew where a large portion of these warlords were situated, and had described the men who could be swayed in great detail. This was possible, as Reign shared a significant bond with a great many of Cronos' warlords and those that fought under them. He knew this was an important aspect of any man that would hold power, and he was right as it served to his benefit in the end.

As for Oam and Noman, they were to escort Deviant on his missions to bring in more to the fold, and consequently take some power away from Cronos. They knew precisely where to guide Deviant, and then hide themselves in the distance. In a worst case scenario, an extreme loyalist to Cronos' cause would react unfavorably. This could give away their whole operation of recruitment, and alert Cronos to exactly who it is that goes right through his eyesight unnoticed. However, Reign cleverly assigned Oam and Noman with a sufficient force to surprise attack those that could not be turned. So, if Reign was unable to sway them to his favor, he could properly eliminate them from Cronos' power structure. He would have Deviant fall back enough to where Oam and Noman were concealing themselves, and he would alert them to the situation. Hearing his cries, they signal archers to fire a flurry of arrows down on the men below. Then, Oam, Noman and a few other capable fighters would rush in to silence the aggressor, as well as anyone else still unscathed by the sting of an arrow.

This plan worked rather effectively, until the trio had made a slight change to the proposed stratagem and everything went astray....

Re: A story based off the "characters" I see here.

That portion was bound to be long, so I cut it up and posted that. For those that aren't intimidated by an extended reading session, you may read on. I'll try and finish up on the next part to it very soon(within the hour or so). That required a lot of background, and the next part is the dialog that the background leads into.

For now, I'm going to watch some more Adult Swim. I haven't posted in awhile, so I'll try and add the rest to that last post in another post. It just doesn't feel complete to be left alone like that, because I didn't really get anywhere with just that.

Also from now on, my off the topic posts will be in a smaller size, so you don't think it's another addition to the story.

Re: A story based off the "characters" I see here.

Oam, had been a close companion with one of Cronos' personal elite vanguard. His name was Thaak, a very skilled warrior, who has many kills accredited to his name. While heading to a potential candidate to turn, Oam realized exactly who it was in a clearing, training what appeared to be the very son of Cronos himself. The opportunity could not be passed up, and Oam spoke up to the other two.

"Deviant, slight change of plans. Noman do you recognize who it is that is honing their swordsmanship down there?" Noman looks down below carefully from his cover in the trees into a clearing where two individuals clashed blades. "Hmmm, is that not the young child of Cronos?" Oam nods, "Yes, yes it's him. However, that man down there training him is Thaak, I've been close to Thaak for quite some time when we served under Cronos. Noman, I think I can persuade him to join us, I think we can offer him much more than Cronos ever could. Trust me on this, he would be a valuable asset indeed. I have seen him fight, and his skills on the battlefield are unmatched. He is hand chosen amongst Cronos' best, he is one of the elite, and he is a near and dear friend of mine. We've shared a battlefield many times, and I've trusted him with my life before and I would like to again. Noman, I am going to confront Thaak, convince him toward our cause, you are going to circle around to the other side and not allow the son of Cronos any means of escape. If we could capture him, we would have an edge on Cronos."

Deviant stands silently, pondering, and Noman replies, "This had better work, if you insist that you are that close with Thaak then I'm putting a lot of faith in you. I've heard a lot about the man with the name Thaak, if what they say is true, Cronos will be severely crippled in the coming war. BUT! I'm not putting total trust in this, Deviant you are to remain here. If anything goes the slightest bit wrong, Oam you must signal Deviant to have the archers fire unto Thaak. Then, I shall capture the boy. Oam, you have my permission."

Deviant raises his head up from his contemplation. "I don't think Reign would approve, he only chooses those he has a close bond with. This man was never mentioned at all by Reign, all I'm saying now is that this is a risk, and that if things go awry, I do not take the blame for your decisions." Oam snaps back, "That's completely fine, but there is no need to worry. Cronos treats him, like all of his men, as lackeys. I treated him as a brother, and so too will Reign. He will join us, I'm sure of it. Enough of this, let's go."

Got longer than I thought, separating for those with a short attention span. Read it at your own leisure, for those that want, they can read everything I got so far.

Re: A story based off the "characters" I see here.

So, Oam set forth down the hill, and toward the clearing. Thaak and Graf continue parrying, as Thaak abruptly halts all activity. "Something stirs by the trees over there, do you hear it?" Graf raises his eyebrow and listens attentively, "I...I hear nothing. Wha-" Thaak raises his hand signaling Graf to keep quiet for a second and whispers, "Your ears are not attuned as mine are yet. Someone approaches, ready your blade." Then a shout comes as Graf begins to draw his blade, and Thaak firmly grips his. "Thaak! You old scoundrel, ready to do in your old friend from countless battlefields then, huh?" Thaak examines the one that approaches them, and recognizes him instantly. "Oam, you've been missing for quite some time, I thought your division had been completely ambushed and overtaken by anarchist forces." Oam chuckles, "Ah, nonsense, you know I'm too good for that. Can...can we speak in private?" Oam hints over at Graf, and Thaak nods towards Graf. "Sheath your sword, this man and I have bled on the same battlefields before. He requests to speak with me privately for a moment, I shall return shortly to further your training." The two walk a distance away from prying ears, and Oam begins.

"Thaak, there's something you should know. Reign has chosen to part ways from Cronos, and he is amassing a vast new clan on his own. A lot of people are talking about it, and he's making a lot of big promises. I was confronted recently by an agent of his, I was taken away to meet him." Thaak looks down and asks inquisitively, "You were taken captive?" Oam starts gesturing with his hands as he speaks, and Thaak can tell that his old friend is beginning to get nervous. "Well no, you see I was curious, maybe I wanted to investigate the situation. I don't know. But, when I got there Reign made some good points. I'm getting nowhere serving Cronos, Cronos is getting nowhere. Things are taking too long, and he has made little progress in his days of power. He speaks merely to arise hopes within all of us, to get us to serve for him longer, only to die. We've seen nothing yet from his leadership, we've gained nothing. With Reign, he has it all planned out for the future, and in that plan there's something for me. There can be something for you too Thaak. I want you to come with me to join with Reign, I want to fight alongside you again. I've already abandoned my position in Cronos' clan, I've already taken all my men that have followed me into battle along as well. His clan grows stronger by the day, and the things he can offer me grow more possible with that growth." Thaak is astounded at what he just heard from the one he called friend, he takes it all in and grips his blade in anger. "Rrrrraaa YOU TRAITOR!!!" Thaak quickly unsheathes his sword, and immediately brings it across to slash at Oam. Oam stumbles backwards, tripping up on the roots of a tree and falling on his back.

Damn he's got the technique down pat... leaving it in mid-action just like any predictably scripted soap...

But this isn't merely a predictable piece of daytime tv trash... It kicks ass...

Re: A story based off the "characters" I see here.

Thaak brings his heavy blade down to slice Oam in half, but Oam rolls quickly to the side and regains his footing, flipping himself back up. Oam keeps eyeing the forests and starts trying to reason with Thaak again. "This doesn't have to end in my blood Thaak, we use to be comrades. Doesn't that mean something? Do the right thing, for old times sake....walk away from this, I don't want it to have to come to this." As he speaks, he continues to look over into the safety of the trees where his company remains hidden. "Why do you keep looking back there Oam? Are you hiding something?" Oam looks directly over to where his allies lay waiting and cries out, "NOW, DO IT NOW!" Thaak hears the strain of several dozen bows being readied to fire. He grits his teeth and within an instant Thaak carries his leg with a force under Oam's, causing him to lose his footing. As Oam begins to fall back to the ground, Thaak leans over so swiftly and places his arm behind Oam to pause his flight to the ground. In very smooth and fluid movements, Thaak twists and flips himself behind Oam to place his blade across his neck. Thaak now holds Oam up with his own strength, cradling him from falling and holding his blade to Oam's throat.

Thaak hears the sound of one arrow being shot off preemptively, and it pierces directly through Oam's right shoulder blade. Oam cries out in pain, "Arrrghh!! No, you fools! Do not fire your arrows!" Thaak looks back over to Graf and yells to him, "Graf get behind me!" Then he yells out to the warriors waiting in the trees, "If I hear the strain of another bow, Oam dies here and now. Then with all the strength I can muster, I will ascend that hill to slaughter as many of you as I can. I may die before I lay down ten of you, but not the one of you wants to take the chance that it could be your own life to end. Oam, tell them you don't want to die here today." Oam yells out angrily, "I'll kill the man who puts my life on edge again! Aww...fuck! My arm...." Thaak grins, "He means it, I've fought side by side with this man on the battlefield before, he's ruthless. Now...put a knife into the back of the man who fired off that arrow, and throw him down here with the weapon he used to hit Oam. Comply with this, or Oam will find himself in a great deal of pain."

Deviant paces back and forth, and freezes when he hears Thaak's demand. He looks over at the soldier, hunched over on the ground and shaking. The soldier meets Deviant's eyes, and in a panic brings himself to his feet and starts off to flee. Deviant points his finger, and yells out to the men around him, "GRAB HIM!" Before the soldier could get any further, the back of his chainmail coif was grabbed and he was thrown down to the ground. Deviant lifted him with a hand, and stuck his dagger right into the soldier's back. "Auugh...Aaaaarrrrrrrrggghh..." Deviant tosses the soldier down the steep hill, sending him spiraling down towards where Thaak stood vigilant.

Thaak watches with a smirk on his face as the soldier comes rolling to a halt right before him. "Graf, grab his bow and quiver, and aim it upon our would be ambusher that seeks to take us from behind." Graf runs over to arm himself with the bow, and paces himself back behind the cover of Thaak. Thaak begins speaking again, "Oam, tell whomever it is there that you cleverly crafted to take us by surprise, to come out from his hiding place. Tell him to toss his weapons over here." Oam yells over to Noman, "Noman! Get out from behind there and toss your weapons over here, we can't overcome him now. We can only hope to leave here with our lives if we don't try anything. I know he is a man of honor, and so long as he can get away from this with his life, ours will be spared as well." Noman gets out from behind a large rock formation with weapon still in hand. Thaak chuckles, "Graf, point your arrow to our little friend with the dagger in his back, and put him out of his misery. Now is the time to test your archery." Graf places an arrow firmly into the head of the solder, ending his suffering in an instant. He aims his focus now unto Noman.

Thaak brandishes his sword, letting out a short sinister laugh. "I don't know if you can place your trust in the skill of some boy. I know it's hard for you. But now you have to be thinking to yourself, what choice do I really have? The boy, is undoubtedly an expert marksman. His worth has been shown. Can I really stand defiant before them, and get out of here with my life? Is this wise, and what hopes do I have testing their mettle? I can tell you, I know the boy will not miss. I trust you will make the decision that secures your life, and place your weapons in the care of another. Simply toss the weapons before me, and we can all hope to get away from this ordeal"

Noman lowers his head and tosses his weapons forward, landing at Thaak's feet. Thaak motions toward Graf and begins to speak. "Grab those weapons and take Oam's, and throw them out of the way." Graf does as instructed, removing the weapons from any hopes of being used to pull any outlandishly brave stunts. Thaak begins again, "Now...as for our exit. Graf, you keep your sights set on him as we slowly back our way up the hill and out of here. With old Oam in my care, we should hope to leave with our lives."

Thaak slowly makes his ascent, dragging along Oam. Graf keeps his eye on Noman, making sure he does not attempt to make a dash for the weapons well placed away from his reach. There would be no chance for him to reach those weapons before his last breath is uttered. Thaak, keeps his focus set to the covering of the trees where the archers wait with bows ready. Thaak points over to the trees, "Don't anyone think of following after us. It's not worth it to risk the life that you cherish. I also find that Reign would not appreciate arrows placed through the heads of the ones that would be leading his men into battle." When reaching the height of the hill, Thaak brings his foot to Oam's back sending him tumbling down the hill. As Oam falls, Thaak and Graf already make their descent to retreat into cover.

Oam rolls over on his back as Deviant rushes down the hill, the soldiers following close behind and Noman walking over head down in disappointment. "Damn..." Oam's eyes flutter shut, and his head falls to his side.

Re: A story based off the "characters" I see here.

A wise man approaches Noman and says to him, "You are truly the most profound of them all, and thus you must take this elixir of profoundness to Reign so he can...um...reign! You see, Crow-No-S will undoubtedly question the profoundness and its ability to manipulate his contrived universe, he might even go so far as to question the meaning of the profoundness, but clearly Crow-No-S does not yet understand what is coming" With that the unnamed wise man throws Noman a scroll and a bottle with a bewildered kitty in it. The wise man makes himself known, "I am the great Diojeans, lord of objective knowledge and certain logic, it is only through this have I come to understand what must be done" Noman laughs hysterically for a few moments and then gathers his breath and brings himself to speak, "Weeeeeeeeeee"
he screams, and Diojeans walks away with a confused look upon his face.

Noman surrepticiously unfurls the withering scroll, and begins to scrutinize the profound contents.

" Hello Top 5 Noman, I am glad that you have finally acquired this great scripture. You have a mission. Once you fulfill this mission you will be given the right to the entirety of the profoundness by uniting with the great Psychokinesis Thesis. You must single-handedly hunt down the Top 5 "Cunt-faced Ass-tards". Kill every last one of them, and bring their heads to Reign. He will understand. That is all for now. Stop reading immediately or else a lightning bolt will come down and fry your eyeballs. "

Noman quickly closes the scroll and places it in his pocket.

Re: A story based off the "characters" I see here.

Cronos sits listening attentively to Thaak, as he stands before him. Thaak finishes recounting the events and Cronos speaks. "Hmm, I see. So, Reign has been recruiting from my divisions. That explains the disappearances of men, and missing warlords. Oam and Noman are proof of that, and then he would try and have you brought to his side too.

Thaak nods, "Yes, he recruits from those he believes he is close to. Oam is now in Reign's favor, and having known me, he must have thought he could persuade me to join Reign. Not only that, but Graf's life was at risk as well. If there was but the slightest hesitation on my part, I may not have detected Noman who had been waiting in hiding behind us. Cronos, it's clear what action you must take, a full retaliation. You MUST kill Reign. He seeks to cripple your forces by bringing them to his side, Graf's life was in danger and he defies the clan."

Lautreamont overhears the latter part of the conversation and slips in unnoticed. "Thaak is right, we must see this one through. It is time to ready the clan for war, time to take the offensive." Cronos and Thaak quickly look over to see Lautreamont, and shift their attention to him. "You've been successful so far gaining power through influence, and bringing in men to fuel you ambitions. Now all you have to do is declare it, declare war. There is something else however...Nee'okrist, the warlord, has broken past your northen divisions. More proof that Reign's meddling has weakened your power hold, and placed your clan power in jeapardy. Normally you would stave off such an incursion into your territory. You must put Reign to an end, that much cannot be avoided. However, first you have to take care of Nee'okrist. His men have set up camps in your territories. It's difficult to say if we can risk a frontal assault and stand to fight against Reign as well. If we could simply take Nee'okrist out of the picture, his clan will deteriorate into petty bickering and squabbling."

Cronos sits silent for a second and sighs. "I see...I am truly in a predicament then. Lautreamont, sift through the streets of the commons. Find an assassin, and be discreet about it. We don't need Nee'okrist to up the guard surrounding him."

Lautreamont sets out searching for a suitable assassin over the course of a few days, and without his ever intending it the word spreads amongst the assassins. As Lautreamont is walking the streets of the commons a couple days later from his initial search, he is approached by a man that walks out from the shadowy unknown of an alley.

Re: A story based off the "characters" I see here.

Lautreamont quickly pulls a dagger from his robe. "Hi friend, there is no need for that here. I merely wish to speak with you in private. There's no need for hostilities."

Lautreamont slowly puts his dagger away, and closely scrutinizes the man who stands before him. The man before him is adorned in fine garments from head to toe, not an inch of his figure is wasted. This man had the looks of one who is an aristocrat, and he carried himself well too. His voice flowed out of his mouth soft and serene. "You are...? Forgive me, I don't have your name..."

The aristocratic man smiles gently. "My name...there was a time when I heard my name called everyday...now I'm only referred to by my profession. You are looking for something...looking into the business of a professional killer. You are loyal to the Lord Cronos, take me to him."

Lautreamont has a look of shock on his face. "But...how? How did you know?" The aristocratic man begins to explain. "You have been seeking out assassins. You've been in guildhall after guildhall where the reputable assassins would be hanging out. Word has spread that Cronos is looking for a professional, rumors say it is to get Reign out of the picture as he now defies him. But, I know better...Reign already has a bounty on his head, and Cronos would not have you search for an assassin with an unnamed mark, and an unnamed price. Take me to him, I will be your assassin if you take me to him."

Lautreamont grins, "So you wish to meet with Lord Cronos. Agreeable, I will take you to him, and we will discuss further who it is he wishes dead. From your resourcefulness, I trust you are an excellent grim reaper as well."

Re: A story based off the "characters" I see here.

Lautreamont guides him back into Cronos' territories. They enter Cronos' vast fortification in the hills. The aristocratic man is impressed by the location, and the stategic placement of guards and guard towers around the fortification and within. Full advantage of elevation was taken with this structure. Lautreamont pauses right at the gates. "You wait here, while I inform him of the situation. He will need a name however for a man who would be walking in his presence." The aristocratic man nods. "I use to go by...Thrakandor...before I went into this immoral profession, before I turned my back on myself. Now I'm just a profession."

Lautreamont heads off towards Cronos' chambers, once in there Cronos is pacing back and forth. "Cronos, I have found an assassin of suitable use. He was reluctant to name himself at first, but says he went by Thrakandor. I've never heard of him, but I'm certain he could get the job done." Cronos slowly turns around. "Hmm, I've never heard the name either, but chances must be taken if I am able to maintain a good front to fight Reign with." Lautreamont goes on to mention how he had come to find Thrakandor, and his resourcefulness at attaining the information.

As the two are talking of the situation, a man slips right in. "A hard man to kill..." Cronos and Lautreamont both jerk their heads over to where the voice came from. The voice came from Thrakandor, who had slipped past the guard surrounding the fortification. Cronos cries out, "Who are you, and how did you come to be in here?" The man speaks, "You wish to kill Nee'okrist?" The look now turns to shock on the faces of Cronos and Lautreamont. Lautreamont looks to Cronos and says, "I never told him who it was...how did he know?" Cronos looks over to Thrakandor and greets him, "So, you are Thrakandor. First of all, how were you able to disgrace my guard so easily? Then tell me...how were you able to know of my intentions to have Nee'okrist killed."

Thrakandor looks up. "You are well protected from a large invasion, but not from a man who can use his cunning and carries himself well. I simply informed any guard that asked me what I was doing here that I am an emissary of Reign's, and bring word of a formal declaration of war." Cronos grins, "You are cunning, and clever at that. I suppose no one would suspect one so eloquently spoken as yourself. You don't have the look of an assassin at all, nor the attitude. Thrakandor, the aristocratic assassin! Ha!" Thrakandor smiles softly. "And as for Nee'okrist, this is the very job I had been waiting for...ever since he destroyed my temple of reason....took away everything from me. I have been following his moves for quite awhile, when he began moving into your territory, it didn't take too long for you to look for an assassin. I simply put two and two together, there was really nothing more to it than that."

Cronos clasps his hands together. "I see you two have some history, somewhere in the past he has wronged you. I hope that I never wrong you. Well then, you certainly seem like you can accomplish the task. We set you off tommorrow. What demands do you have upon completion, and how many men do you think it necessary to help you complete the task. Keep in mind, I can't devote too many, as I must keep a constant watch in case Reign attempts to make a preemptive strike at me." Thrakandor smiles softly, "Cronos, it has truly been an honor to meet you. Quite an admirable man indeed, there has been so much talk of you. Both, controversial, and complimentary. the mark of an important man. I will need nothing from you in return, now I finally have a purpose to kill Nee'okrist, a purpose that serves something...more than just revenge. I require no men, I plan to complete the task alone."

Re: A story based off the "characters" I see here.

Cronos sits patiently as he has Thaak summoned before him. "You summoned for me Lord Cronos...?" Cronos closes his eyes, looks down, and smiles. "The assassin, Thrakandor, intends to see to it alone. Though I would allow this, I also am not a man to put his hopes into the skills of one man. However competent he may seem. You alone are to follow him, I can trust you more than he. I cannot entrust too many men to this feat. See to it that the job is done, however don't get yourself killed." Thaak bows his head and grins. "I will make sure the assassin does not fall short of his promises...I will see to it that he is not impeded by any unforeseen problems."

Thrakandor set off for his journey alone, but closely trailed and watched by Thaak. Thrakandor headed north, but avoided the newly made encampments Nee'okrist's troops made in Cronos' northern territories. Instead, Thrakandor made right for where Nee'okrist himself likely stayed, distancing himself from the front line battle where his troops thwarted Cronos and bested his withered northern divisions.

Finally, Thrakandor reaches the stone stronghold where he knew his newly embraced purpose would be fulfilled. The entrance was small, and there was no easy way to sneak in unnoticed. Thrakandor hangs himself above the entrance, to drop down in front of the two guards that stand at both sides. He fells the first guard with haste, cleanly cutting his head from his shoulders with a swipe of his katana as he drops to the ground. Then, with a blade he fastens around his wrist, he lifts his hand back and brings his palm under the other guard's chin. The blade punctures through his throat as Thrakandor lifts him up, and he slides into its sharp edge further.

Thrakandor continues through the stronghold, avoiding the guard that patrol its halls by waiting until they turn their back to him and patrol the other way. Then, once their back is turned, he presses his palm firmly onto the back of their head. With the blade attached to his wrist, he pierces right through their skull. He makes sure to carefully drag the body to where other patrols would not happen by it. Slowly by slowly, he takes himself to the heart of the stronghold, where Nee'okrist lays waiting unaware of the pursuit.
