Take out the MJ cover and that would be a great night in TOOL land. Another chance to hear the Patient and DRT live would be the bee's knee's.
i was hoping for some extra dates anywhere in the UK but there not looking likly so its me glued to this board to see what they play. As for those of you with tickets that are gonna stay away from te hposted set lists, . ............. Dam fine self control
i watched every update on the 10k tour before and after my 3 local gigs, Same at the Lat tour. Last time i saw em without a clue was Undertow. This time its more exciting than ever as theres no Record to tour it could be anythign they play.
Its times like this,
24 hours before a gig when your looking forward to something as bland as a set list in a tour that makes you relalise why you love TOOL. This dont happen with many other bands. The anticipation that somthing real cool and unique is about to take place.
Getting that feeling once again, knowing you're going to experience something special in just a week. Just wanted to say I really hope everyone enjoys the shows if they get to go, and if not at least share in the excitement for tomorrow night through this thread. I can't wait to come back and read the reviews of Denver. Tonight is the last time I'm going to visit the forum until after next Saturday. I'm keeping myself in the dark this time, so I'll be back once I can post reviews of San Antonio and Dallas.

Very true! I'm staying away from the forum starting tomorrow so that I can keep the set list a surprise for the Fairfax show. So, guys and gals, enjoy the show or shows you are going to and I'll see everyone back on here in 2 weeks or so!

ill be in Atlanta in a week and a couple days for tool. Going to see JJ Grey and Mofro, Gov't Mule and a late night show of Hill Country Revue a week from tomorrow, then staying the weekend in ATL by myself and waiting for the Tool show on that monday. I love that ive got a hotel that is pretty much attached to the arena for the tool show so i can do whatever and not worry about driving anywhere. See yall later

Man in the Mirror? Would be really f'n cool, but if you want to do a MJ cover, being Tool, I would pick "Human Nature" and go 20 minutes with the damn thing. As for the whole not playing MJ because of the accusations, I think Maynard is smart enough to know that they were all crap, and that he may even find kinship with dude for the same reasons that the previous poster thought he wouldn't do it.

"Yeah Tool is fucking amazing. But there’s a big chunk of their fan base that think they’ve become thought provoking geniuses just from listening to them."

12 days until Charlotte. My fifth show and the smallest venue I've ever seen them in. Two months ago if you told me that there would be a full on tour this summer, I would tell you to stay off of the crack pipe. I'm going with three other friends that I have lost touch with and haven't seen in more than a year. The only thing cooler than the 29th would be if my son were a few years older and could come with. I'm a little sad that my wife isn't coming to, but she's growing a little girl right now and that's all good. To be honest I could care less what the set list will be. Tool is the best live band on the circuit today and they kfnow what is going to work. Thanks to Junior for the info on the light show. You guys are frickin awesome, the Greenville, SC show was the best concert light show I've seen since Floyd. I cannot wait.
i asked earlier this month about the tailgating scene. i got some helpful info, but i was really wanting to know if you guys think i'll be able to find some "performance enhancers" before the show? I'm going to the Georgia show (this will be my 4th TOOL show) and i've never had the opportunity to see them w/ my 3rd eye fully pried open. I don't think i'll be able to acquire such goods before i go, so my only shot is the parking lot. thanks.
^or in the show itself. I think it would be more sketchy to approach random people in the parking lot than the ticketholders inside. Be safe. I sympathize with your plight. lol.

No doubt. Send me a PM and we'll hook it up. I will be leaving for the show tomorrow morning and won't be back in NM until the day of the show, wednesday in the afternoon.

it has been an awesome and exciting few months building up for this tour. i'm now off to the airport for probably the craziest trip i'll ever do in my life.

I got my joints rolled and 2 blunts for when tool starts and finishes up. Rolled up about a half OZ. got food in my stomach and just need to get the gas, clean my windshield, and check my tire pressure then I'm off! Won't get to see too much of Incubus, if any, but I will def. be seeing tool in less than 12 hours! Woot!!!!! See you guys on the other side.....

Moneyisevil over at TA posted a picture of the stage setup at Mile High. Apparently they're running a live stream throughout the day and he caught a glimpse of the main stage with Tool's stuff set up in the background.
Looks like the 3 UFO lights are up there, the green sacred geometry circle is up in the lights too. Looks like another sacred geometry type deal behind where Danny usually is. Also looks like the frames for the background screens are there too.
I could be wrong, but it looks like the rear screens will be continuous, not broken up into 4 sections like previously. That blue thing in the middle is just a ladder.

How can you tell? If you are looking at that light colored frame thing divided into 5 sections in the middle of the stage, that is not any kind of screen. I checked out the live broadcast. It looks to just be some kind of hollow frame for something else.
I imagine any screens are further back, covered by that long black tarp slightly higher than everything else on the stage.
I would have to agree. Lateralus should end every show and I can't see them writing another song that would ever change my mind on that. Ænema is a great song to end the first set with, but it always leaves me wanting more, while lateralus feels like the show has reached its end.
I couldn't agree more!! When Lateralus is finished you can turn out the lights cause my Tool evening has hit the exclamation. It"s Orgasmic man!!!
Damn!!! I'm such a retard!!! Was wondering why nobody was posting in the other thread. lol
Lets get it on!!! So who else will be live twittering the setlist!!!
