no most are found everywhere, some are only found between australia and new zealand. knowing blair, this could mean anything, or nothing. I could be using a steam engine to open a clam here.

Same here. lol. Stupid marijuana laws. We can go to Canada though we just have to go through the process of getting permission from the Canadian Consulate.

I had a dream last night that the reason the tour dates are being withheld is that the contract to play in Knoxville was just now being sent to the band's management for approval. That would be nice!
Though, now its painfully obvious that my subconscious needs to get a life...

I'll never forget back around 2002 I believe, they put up a quote on toolband about possible destinations for mid-sized cities and Chattanooga was listed. Well after the tour schedule was final, Chattanooga was the only city on that list that wasn't a part of the tour. And the final site added (quite a while after most of the other dates) was Knoxville.
I always wondered why Chattanooga got left off. I just assumed it was the God Squad pricks around here that got wind of Tool coming to town and derailed it. What a lost opportunity though. Maybe they'll still come one of these days.
Even still the Knoxville show was awesome. Here's to hoping your dream comes true dude!

Seriously. I was hoping the announcement was just being delayed til after the Puscifer shows so as to not overshadow them. No such luck so far. Only new info I've seen is unsubstantiated rumors on FourthEye about a festival in Milwaukee.

If they go to vancouver and not Seattle i will be pissed i cant even leave the county let alone the country but as long as i dont have to cross a boarder i will go anywhere to see TOOL i dont care what my P.O. says
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Fourtheye is suggesting a Summerfest appearance.
Summerfest is the last week of June and the first week of July.
There won't be any Tool shows that early.

I know the feeling. I am really hoping that Tool comes to the Gorge.

So, let's say Tool are ready to go by late July, early August. What festivals in the US are actually left for them to play at that point?
Or, if they are seduced by the pungent stink of patchouli lingering in their nasal passages from Mile High the previous weekend, they could go here. http://www.10klf.com/
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Just a guess, but maybe TOOL has to wait for the "official" announcement on their Lollapalooza appearance (which is on April 21st, according to this), http://www.lollapalooza.com/default.asp?fd=1
before announcing on toolband that they are playing.
Not sure why that would hold up the release of the rest of the dates though...
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Looks like toolband.com is down for updates...as we speak. Hopefully for posting of dates. They'll need to put them out soon to do timely ticket sales.

BTW, I noticed you got the shout out during one of Maynard video skits! Something about the lighting being messed up!
Reverend Soquet (so-kay) is doing an iChat-style video conference in that clip. He says something about how he's been watching the show but is having a hard time seeing because "Junior's not doing so good on the lights" , or something like that.

Awesome. I really was not sure how those skits would work out in the context of a concert setting. But they were all pretty entertaining.
