Oh, but it's still Maynard. I made an MJK Rarities CD and this song is on it. I thought I was losing my mind for a brief second...

Performed on the Rage Against the Machine song "Know Your Enemy," both on the studio version and live when the bands toured together.

Sang "Silly love songs" on the Replicants' self-titled album.

Dueted on The Deftones' album White Pony, in the song "Passenger."

Contributed the line "Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin" to the novelty song "Three Little Pigs" by Green Jell˙ (whose leader was Maynard James Keenan's roommate, and the receiver to the death threats in the segues "Message to Harry Manback" and its sequel).

Together with his friend Tori Amos, performed the song "Muhammad My Friend" during a live concert. "Muhammad My Friend" is from Tori's record Boys for Pele, and the live performance was released on a video called "Live in New York: the Concert For Rain".

Appeared on the soundtrack for the movie Underworld in the songs "Bring Me the Disco King" and "REV 22:20", as well as remixes of "Judith" (Mer de Noms) and "Weak and Powerless" (Thirteenth Step).

Collaborator for the now cancelled "Tapeworm" project (side project of Nine Inch Nails bass player Danny Lohner and vocalist Trent Reznor). "Vacant," the one track to come out of the project, was performed live by A Perfect Circle on the Mer de Noms tour. "Vacant" was remixed as "Passive" on A Perfect Circle's 2004 release eMOTIVe.

Has appeared on HBO's "Mr. Show with Bob and David."

Also appeared on-screen in "Bikini Bandits" (2002) in the role of the devil. Later appeared in a film called "Sleeping Dogs Lie" as a cop.

Although not an appearance, legendary guitarist and rock icon George Lynch cited Maynard as one of his ideal vocalists if he was creating a supergroup.
Contributed a small vocal part on the David Bowie tune "Bring me the Disco King". John Frusciante, lead guitarist of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, performed the guitar tracks for the song.

Sang vocals for Alice in Chains at a 2005 benefit concert in Seattle. He sang the songs "Them Bones" and "Man in the Box."

Did a cover of KISS's "Calling Dr. Love" with Faith No More bassist Billy Gould, Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, and drummer Brad Wilk as "Shandi's Addiction" for the tribute album KISS My Ass: Classic KISS Regrooved

Should be noted that this was Jane's Addiction w/ MJK on vocals.

This is an "unofficial" remix. There are also remixes of Disgustipated and Third Eye, as well as a "lounge version" of Hooker w/ a Penis. There are a few others, but I can't keep up with them all. :)

Tool also covered Ted Nugent's "Stranglehold", Peach's "You Lied" and "Spasm."

Merkaba is a loose cover of a song by Zaum, who Danny used to play with.

And yes, I know it sounds like shit. I didn't tape it, so blame someone else.

I think there is a mp3 of tool covering Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd, it's really hard to tell since the vocals aren't quite distinguishable being they're a bit different than usual.

It's not Tool. It's most likely a demo by David Gilmour.

Let's see. He was late 20's when Opiate was released. Unless, he did C.A.D. at the same time he started out with Tool. But, that wouldn't make much sense, considering his singing on Opiate/Undertow blew away his vocals for C.A.D. Let us ponder.

I searched for an album cover and found this.
http://www.lockjaw.net/project/cad.jpg
But it says "children of the anachronistic society". What's up with that?

That's fan-created cover art. The orignal release was on audio cassette.

And Maynard was 22 when CAD was released in 1986.

I'm pretty sure Maynard was only 23 when he was in CAD. I did the math once... I think thats right.

And yeah, Fingernails is definatly worth a listen or two. Theres some really good stuff on there, along with some horrible pieces of crap ("Barbie, does your mother know you're here?! HEY BARBIELOL!!!")

And 5th Eye, that cover can't be real. The original recording was only released on cassette. You can see the original cover here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fingernails_%28album%29

Edit: I don't type fast enough :( Oh well

Man. I'm real suprised something that MJK was a part of could suck so bad. It sounds like a Jr. High Cure cover band's originals. I'm also suprised no one else here has said the same thing. Oh well. WHERE THE FUCK IS THE NEW ALBUM!?
