Pose is just short for position... so it can still make sense either way. A post is somthing a little more perminent, or a little more military. Position is a little less formal and doesn't really imply that it is perminant. The character is more likely camping than at an actual "post"... so I think it makes sense.

It can possibly be that Maynard overdubbed stuff with different lyrics some times (jackie chan / jetship for example) and the lyrics we've gotten here is what he sings live, to have a straight-forward lyric.

The song, we know, is loaded with brand names and such. Well, in light of the official lyrics the 'yogi DMT' is another. There is a brand of herbal tea sold in America and it's that whole organic-I-wish-I-meditated-but-I'm-a-lazy-spiritulist tea. I know, because I drink it. Anyway, so it's brand name is 'Yogi Tea' - eh, Yogi DMT... Well... I thought it was funny...
