Oh that sucks, got a business convention in Vegas... the week before they play there :(
The reason they may be playing The Pearl two nights is that it's a smaller theater, the farthest seat from the stage is 120 feet away. They may be the first band to play there as well, as I don't think it even opens until March. The place looks pretty cool, and it's hardwired to their studio for live recordings.
no Utah dates yet:( but they are playing in Las Vegas on my B-day which is March 16. i am also planing on goin on a cruise that later week. so i guess i will be driving down to see TOOL on my B-day in Vegas and then on that Sunday i will be traveling to L.A to go on a week long cruise to Mexico. holy christ on a cross!!! that sounds like the best vacation ever!
There should probably be some LA show(s) and maybe a Sacramento show as well. Hopefully, we'll get some different songs with this pass through the states.

i just looked it up. it is in the Palms hotel. crazy huh? it must be kind of small considering they are playing two days there. if it is small i am getting tickets for sure. i am so stoked
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
I'll be in Vegas that weekend for the opening rounds of March Madness, so that's awesome! I'm definitely hitting one of those shows, if not both! And Chevelle is playing at The Pearl (w/ Evanescence - not that I care) the next night on the 17th. I don't really want to pay just to see Chevelle play for 45 minutes though. But I'm definitely hitting the Tool shows! I'm hoping they come back to K.C. this time around as well, or Omaha would be even better! Later.

Expect it to be small, imo. They always play these tiny, crappy venues.

I'm still waiting for them to come anywhere near TN at a time when I can see them!!!
But...
I've heard some talk about them as a possible act for this years Bonnaroo. Anyone else run across any rumors of the sort too?
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Maynard said at the end of the Dublin gig that they'd be back at some stage this year. Just wondering if anyone had any info or even rumour of maybe a festival tour this side of the Atlantic?? Tool at slane would be AWESOME!!

I think that rumor is only around because in a Rolling Stone interview Trey Anastasio suggested that Tool should be the headliners at Bonnaroo.

Hmm guess I feel the opposite, I'd much rather see them in a smaller setting like The Pearl than some huge arena. May end up paying a bit more but overall worth it IMO.
I second this!! Jesus!! It seems like it has been forever!
QED.
C'mon Tool. Somewhere in South Florida pleeeeeease? I just hope it's not Sound Advice. The best/cheapest place (the lawn) is like a mile from the band and you can't hear anythng...now, Hard Rock Live? That would fucking rule...but I'm not picky. Just PLAY DOWN HERE!

If they came here for Bonnaroo I would finally head 30 minutes down the road and see what the big deal is about that fest. If not, I'll be content with Nashville.

I would love to see these cities show up:
Orlando
Tampa
West Palm Beach
Daytona Beach
4 dates in Florida to make up for all this time skipping us!! I also wouldn't mind seeing one of those cities eliminated for back to back shows at one of those cities.

What is the best way to try to get good seats to this show? I'm 45 yrs old and was out of the concert loop for a decade or two - that is until my son won front row tix to Tool at gammage up in Phoenix a few months back.
You can track down my blubbering tribute to that show somewhere here in the forums...
So tool is coming to Tucson (prasie be to the saints!) and I abso-fucking-lutely must get seats, preferably good ones. Who's got the dish on the best way to work this whole "ticketmaster" schtick? Help a brutha out, eh?

I'm ready for a Tool overdose!!! LOL.
I would only make one...West Palm is an hour's drive, the others are several, and I don't have a car. Not that I could afford more than one concert reasonably.
Incidentally, anybody have any idea who's opening, if anyone? Isis again?
