I have a general concern. As many of you all know, the San Antonio, Tx show was "postponed." I understand, being in a band myself, that then the singer is sick, hes sick. I whole-heartedly understand would have done the same. However, I would have by now annouced some sort of date or info to those who paid and bought tickets. Seriously, I think its common courtesy, I am not insulting the band in anyway, they are great and I hope MJK get well for Dallas ( I am not going to that one). Please let mw know if you agree with me, or have anything in regards to the post.

Well, I disagree with you. First off, I think they should wait and see if their will have to be more than 1 rescheduled date. Maybe Maynard won't be able to perform in Dallas and they have to cancel that show as well. Second, they have to check their schedule with the venue's schedule, or another area venue of the same size. Third, they then have to renogiate the contract with the venue(s) and all other's involved.
But, I guess tool should fire their tour booking agancy and hire you since you'ld have everything cleared up and announced by now. And as far as for those who paid tickets, if the reschedule, they'll already have their tickets. And if they don't reschedule the show, they'll get their money back. That's something the ticket holders have no input into, so just be patient.

I put a post in another thread earlier and I was wondering if I could get a good answer here. Do any of you know if Tool does autographs?

Just a thought about Hou show.
Alrighty then, picture this if you will, the voice is a very tricky instrument. In fact it is more like two instruments than just one. Imagine if you played any other instrument and it was missing a string, key, head, out of tune, no tuner in sight, no batteries, no store open, or something else bad that could not immediately be remedied.(Worst case mix)
Whadda u do? You can either decide to play your instrument as best as you can or just not play it at all. The intention of a band is not to piss off their fans, unless you’re the Melvins(I’m kidding!) We can only hope that they will be back again sometime soon.
Maybe Mayo will subtract his take off of your ticket. Either way, I’m buying another ticket, if some others don’t maybe I can get a little closer seat to the drummer!
Sir? Madam? Would you like some select cheese to go with that Caduceus?
San Antonio, keep the tamales ready.
Dallas, throw some beef on the pit.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
This thread has become way too long and confusing. If you want the "Live: General Discussion" to come back, check in the Forum Feedback section.... and vote. Kabir has been responding to it. This thread could have many threads based upon the new setlist, the lazer show, the length of the show, etc...
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
I am attending the DC show on Sept. 30th. I have floor seats, and by seats I mean the ticket gives a Row and Seat number. I have been reading reviews for every show this tour right here on toolnavy, and I have noticed that the last few shows have had GA floors. I was wondering if the people who have been going to these shows have row and seat numbers on their tickets. I know that the shows were originally seated when the tour started, but after the chair incident where some moshbros threw some chairs and maynard told them to stop, it seems the floors have been GA.
Anyone have any ideas on if the DC show will be seated or not? Have the chairs been lifted due to the incident, or is it just because these GA shows were designated GA in advance?
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

Hi, new here
I would like to know if anyone has any clue if Tool is going to perform between October 7 to September 3 anywhere else in North America. Because they won't seem to be performing in Montreal or in New York City.
PLEASE Respond back! I need to KNOW!
-I would trade it all for just a little piece of mind.

Most likely not. I believe Maynard is using those 3 weeks to oversee the grape harvest at his vineyard in Arizona. However, they have promised to come back around North America after hitting Australia in Jan/Feb.
I saw a few great pictures of Maynard "Riding the bull" during Jambi on toolnavy a few weeks ago, but can't seem to find them now. Does anyone know where these pics went?

Thanks for the relief, do you happen to know if they are hitting any southeast cities when they come back? The closest they came to Atlanta this year was columbus, ohio. I went but i would love to see them without driving 9 hours (even though it was worth it).

i was wondering if anybody knew of tickets still being sold for the canceled tool show in texas i hear the official date is 04/10/07 but i want tickets to see again i saw it in Kansas City but some buddys didnt get to go so if any one knows plaese hit me back thanks DerekWK
What?? The only bearible song?? I usually skip that song while listening to the album. It is very loooong and slooow. I'm not sayin it's bad its just to slow for me. Plus he kind of sings under his breath and you can bearly hear anything he says.
It fits better as the album closer IMO. I re-order XMD with Lipan/LK/Rosetta, then Pot/Vicarious/Jambi, Intension/RIT, then Wings to "close" with 23 the walk out.
Apparently Mastodon is opening in Europe...though that's not confirmed entirely...it has them opening for the UK dates, but no mention of the continental ones..
