After seeing Volto! this past Saturday, I highly recommend them to anyone that can catch them.

Even better than Puscifer?.................

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

I was hoping that this forum, with all its genius, would have cracked Blair's latest cryptic news.

To be fair, I much prefer Blair's cryptic message to no message at all - that's probably the only option he has, as long as the band wants to keep their activities quiet.

This is a post from 4thEye.

DANNY – PENCIL: A PEN THAT SEES ILL IS A GOOD PEN TO WRITE WITH
This is a tougher one, this could be interpreted as Danny is still changing or re arranging his drum parts for the new album, in an attempt to polish the songs before recording, or is changing a few things during the recording going on now.

ADAM – T-STRONGLY INTEGRATIVE———- T-INTEGRATION. GROWTH
Integrative: combining and coordinating diverse elements into a whole
Integration – The act or process of making whole or entire
These words suggest Adam has written most of the album, and is now in the process or piecing the songs together prior to recording.

JUSTIN (on the other hand) – BALDERDASH
Balderdash – senseless talk or writing; nonsense
This word suggests Justin is having difficulty writing the bass lines for the new album.
“a squib is a small firework”
This reference puzzles me for some reason, as I cannot discernibly make any connection to Tool with it. Perhaps its meaningless.

(NOTE: using their mech, deros are tampering the content, deleting and changing everything that I type———— DEATH De an te h… the te force of the human obliterated by disintegrant energy (de)———- take precautions!—————————– DEIADE (God murder)———————–)
MAYNARD – PUSCIFER will be touring this fall. But what you might not know is that some of the shows will be———- SPIDER, SPY from DER.
Nothing suprising here. While the other 3 are finishing the writing for the new album, Maynard will be on tour with Puscifer. By the time the Puscifer tour wraps up, the music for the new Tool album should be about finished, and Maynard will go in and begin his part.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

How has security responded to cameras at the Puscifer shows? Do I need to crotch shot it? Or is it cool just being on my body? I'm going to the Fox show in Oakland if that makes any difference.

P.S., I know when and when not to use a flash ;)

You could always try doing what the performer asks and just leave your camera at home and experience the show as is. Just a suggestion.

With that said, when I saw 'em back in February security were being very, very strict with cameras/pictures.

Look, I'm all for that. I hate people waving a goddamn digital screen in my face. I'm a respectful person when it comes to trying to capture a moment. It's an art if you're doing it right. Colors, actions, expressions. I don't take pictures to be a yahoo fan, run home and throw them on facebook to have them SCREAM, "LOOK HOW COOL I AM."

I don't think I'm "assulting" anyone. I'm just curious why a presumably grown adult would want fashion advice from complete strangers. Like it matters what outfit you wear to see Tool or Puscifer or Yo La Tengo.

FORGET IT!!

There were at least 10 ushers and security folks looking for cameras.

I really did not like the "country" versions or any of the first 30 mins. Ok I did enjoy Cuntry Boner but the rest was terrible and the skits were not funny at all. (The other shows were hilarious!!)
I'm not alone, I heard that folks were walking out in Vegas!!

The comedy was repetative and flat out un-funny.

The second was however was EXCELLENT. Not as good as L.A. (Rocket Man!!) if only MJK would ditch the Heehaw act...it's really not that funny.

Uncle Scratch RULES!!!

Gates of Hell!!

Did you dress up? It was TOTAL BULLSHIT they were not letting fans in with makeup on. They were so rude to my friends that they bailed the whole thing!!

anyway I was Billy Mays I'm sure you saw me - I was with the dude who dressed up like Uncle Scratch..

That's a bummer. I was finally able to see 'em last month and while waiting in line to get in we met one of Danny's old buddies and after the show he was nice enough to introduce us and he even kinda peer-pressured Danny into taking a photo with us.

Talk about awesome.

I forgot to buy a shirt though before leaving and still dunno if I'll be able to make it this weekend to see 'em. So we'll see.

Welcome back to the East Bay, Junior.
If you like pilsners, be sure to try a Trumer Pils when you get to the Fox on Wednesday.
Brewed in Berkeley, they are fresh and tasty, imo.

It's kind of a fuuny story. My buddy and I went to the Vegas shows in Feb and fell in love with Uncle Scratch.

We met up again in SD for that show and he didnt tell me what his costume was going to be. I was sitting in the other room and he walked in and yelled "GAATES OF HELL" and for half a second, I thought Brother Ed had somehow gotten into our room!! He said my jaw dropped to the floor.

Then security wouldnt let him bring the microphone rig in and it pretty much ruined the night for him. H ened up sticking it down his pants and used an extra ticket to get in.

The brothers did find him after the show and took some pics with him.

anyway I was Billy Mays I'm sure you saw me - I was with the dude who dressed up like Uncle Scratch..

Your costume was the shit i was like huh? for a minute before realizing what the hell i was looking at. same with your friend and nah i was the adolescent with the dick on his back ahaah i also agree the country part except trekka which i enjoyed somewhat and country boner was annoying but the second act was great ! i was like holy shit if they don't play the "metal" version of dozo i'm going to walk out... thankfully they did. + the humbling river was pretty good.

Honestly, I can't remember which one I was most interested in them doing. They rehearsed a song off Opiate, a song off Aenima, a song off Lateralus, and a cover. There might have been more, but I've let it pass and I'm on to other things.

Are you free to disclose what the cover song was?

It was a Britney Spears song, no doubt.

Children of Bodom does a hilariously good cover of Oops I Did It Again.

IIRC, Passage to Bangkok was the rumor, and Adam teased the riff briefly a few times.
