Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

Ambiguous? I'd say it's pretty straight forward.

I mean, I'll try at midday as well just to be sure, but I'd say that's pretty clear that it will be 1pm Sydney time.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

It's ambiguous because AEST is often used to refer to Sydney time whether it is in daylight saving time or not. You may very well be right but I would ward against anyone making assumptions.

Full ten piece ensemble with Simon and Raja in Sydney in January ;)
Are tickets obtainable or is it a scalping fiasco?

That's not a bad price, I'd pay that to see the real deal Shpongle show.

Tickets have been on sale for nearly a week and still available in all categories. Word is it's getting close to selling out, but everyone has had plenty of time. Hasn;t been much press about it tbh, it's been buried under the avalance of other tour news as we near our festival season.

(And there was an early bird period for the first 2 days - $75 tickets! Even better price!)

Yeah, fair enough. Still think it'll be 1pm Sydney time, but it would certainly be foolish not to try at 12 just to be sure!

Sweet, will be waiting! Have to somehow try and get seating tickets for Melb and Bris if available...... what do you think the chances for that are :) Good luck to everyone tomorrow.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

I don't think anyone has implied that.

AEST = Austrian Eastern Standard time.
AEDST = Austrian Eastern Daylight Savings Time. (AEST + 1 hour)

Sydney is currently in AEDST, Brisbane AEST.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

OK, this is IMPORTANT info for non-Tool Army members hoping for tickets

Both Ticketektek (Brisbane) and Ticketmaster (Melbounre) are doing their own member presales.

These are independent to Tool Army. In both cases, membership and info is open to the public, all you have to do is be an online member of their respective websites (if you've bought tickets online through them, you are. If not, signing up takes a minute)

Frustratingly, the Ticketmaster/Melbourne presale will run concurrent to the Tool Army presale - 12 Midday - Presumably AEDST time.

Ticketek, on the other hand, has the good grace to start their presale half an hour after the Tool Army, at 12:30. It would appear this will be AEST.

All the info is now open to the public on both websites. There's word of Ticketmasters presale password being identical to the Tool Army password - Not being signed up as a Ticketmaster member, I don't know.
HOWEVER, the Ticketek's presale password is available to anyone once they log on, and is NOT the same as the Tool Army password.
I won't post it, but it's right there in plan site once you have logged onto the event page.

Good luck!

Today's Fun Fact:

Not a lot of people know that Australia is very close in size to the Continental United Sates but has a smaller population than California (by approx 10 million.)

Yet a sizeable amount of our more conservative citizens are positively petrified of population growth (Which is just racism masquerading as sustainability policy)

In my area, which is particularly notable in it's conservatism (We had race riots in 2005) there is an abundance of cars with bumper-stickers saying "FUCK OFF WE'RE FULL" handed out by the local anti-immigration party...

I never let those fucks merge in traffic.

End discussion derail.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

Slight change in situation.

The event page available to everyone on ticketek was at first identical to the event page link posted by Tool army.

Now they are different again - The public event page list's only the my ticketek presale, whereas the Tool army link event page lists BOTH.

So tool army members, make sure you use the link posted on TA and not just the event page publicly listed.

It works if you put it in the Ticketmaster spot!! That is really crap. Thankfully, I was just having a dry run for the Brisbane sale at 12.

Yeah I was on the gold reserved seating dead centre in 2007.
It was pretty good down there. Will try and get those tickets again on Monday and sell lawn tickets if I can.
