Re: 2007/04/13 - Birmingham, AL - Oak Mountain Amphitheatre
I remember being here back in '01 for the lateralus tour and we drove down from Middle TN. We weren't expecting rain, and didn't bring any jackets or anything. We went into some gas station and got some trashbags and wore them. Worked pretty decent and we didn't even get any of our party favors wet... even tho it was hard as hell to pass em.
I hope it doesn't rain this time.

Re: 2007/04/13 - Birmingham, AL - Oak Mountain Amphitheatre
yeah last time they were in birmingham it was both miserable and great. especially during aenima when "i'm prayin for rain" and the flood lights were lifted and you could see billions of rain drops

I"m totally road tripping from AU this summer. I am so fucking excited. When I lived in VA tool never came close enough (considering I was in high school during the last tour). Now I get to go to the Ham and Duluth shows. I could weep tears of joy.

How is this venue? Sound? Sightlines? Anyone?
i got lucky i guess. i only bought one. ive never gotten down low at oak mountain before. cant wait.
as for the venue, its killer, with great sound for an ampitheater. the sightlines however, arent very good if youre behind the soundboard. but if you go up to the aisle and just watch from there its great, and they dont usually hassle you about going to a seat. if youre up front in this place though, its great. i snuck down real close a couple of times and it was way better.

I'm a little sad. Luckily, I was in georgia on Spring Break when i ordered my tickets....I didn't have to wake up until 10:50am. muahahahaha. But I am a little sad about the 2nd tier thing. more than a little sad. waking up before noon during spring break and getting 2nd tier sucks. Oh well, I better be able to see, or hell shall be raised!
