This is a first track/demo by my official project titled .i think of demons.
I actually got the name from the title of a thread on tdn, thought it sounded badass(thanx to gretal for bringing up the link to that thread)
Anyways title pick was easy enough, writing this song on the other hand wasn't.
Its a fun lighter side kinda song. threw in a 'nard scream at the beginning.
If you think it sucks, throw a piece of poopoo at your computer screen.
If you think it's awesome, throw your panties (or gotchy's if you must)at the computer screen.
Anyways,Put some headphones on,turn it up. and enjoy.

What are you recording with?
Cool sound. Parts of it are too muddy for me, but I like the progression. Can definitely hear the Tool influence. The last bit reminds me of Deftones.
Is there any concept behind this? Any goal, purpose, meaning? Not that there has to be, I'm just asking.

New songs if anyone wants to check out.
I like them.
Kinda on the shitty side of the recording quality and layering but fuck it.
Koan is the second half, of a song that will probably be finished in 2019.
And Mara is for your lustful demons.
enjoy.

I made a video for Mara(Londa).
It was fun. I asked my buddy if he'll be the drummer in it, he was really pumped untill i handed him spatula's for drumsticks (i didn't have drums).haha. I think it's a good video, the sound quality is kinda harsh.
Listen with headphones!! If you like it than "like" it, that's all i'm asking!
It's time i post some new songs, and i will...

Well, i put together something that some people might enjoy, it is good but the beginning is a little disorganized and kind of takes awhile to get goin, but eventually it takes off.
It's called Birth:

I hope it catches some people. :)

I'm torn. There are very good sounds and images throughout. Birth and Koan have a 35007 sort of feel to it, while the others (Mara and This Viscious Wolf.) give off an angsty Tool sound. Definitely talent is involved. I guess it's just a process of finding "your sound".

Yeah thanks for listening, birth makes ithinktherefor think of zombies, and it makes you think of 35007, while it makes me think of a love story in space. When ppl here mara they think of manson or deftones. It's strange i guess.
I don't really know what the process of finding your own sound means. i never got that. I remember my friend mentioning that isis have found their own sound on their last album. That in songs like "in fiction" they were heavily influenced by Tool, and not really having their own sound. I've been listening to "in fiction" these past couple days, and i gotta say it's one of my fav songs, and that seems to be what matters.
Thanks for the comments man, maybe i will find my own sound naturally but i'm not gonna try and look for it forcibly, i'm just gonna try and make something worth listening to. Which is hard enough. thanks!

That's the beauty of art. No one knows what the fuck they're really saying. I guess finding your own sound really just means finding a comfortable niche. The music is good though, so just keep on keepin' on.

i see 'finding your sound' sort of like finding your resonance internally where your writing doesn't feel forced. i've been writing for almost 10 years now and i still haven't really 'found my sound' but then again i way over analyze everything i do and then get lazy. just started working on a new album and am going to really take my time to 'find my sound' from that perspective

Yeah, over-analyzing is what causes paralysis in writing, definitely for me and than i get lazy. Like i hear all these cool ideas that are doable but ambitious, but when they become ambitious they become taunting and i just kinda freeze up and don't do anything. It's crazy. I still don't get the finding your own sound deal though, your influences are gonna come out subconsciously, like Trent Reznor said he had no idea he ripped off david bowie when he wrote " a warm place", he said he thought he heard it before but wasn't sure, so he put it out anyways.
I think it becomes a problem when bands are defined by a genre that they don't have their " own sound", they don't really use the techniques of that genre as a tool to strengthen or articulate their ideas but rather piggybacking that style.Like the whole fuckin Djent movement. Dillinger is a good example of using styles as tools, specifically using mike pattons vocal style.
