edited Undertow----not edited?
so i went to Wal-Mart the other day, and just for the hell of it i decided to look in the CD section. i remembered how Wal-Mart has always been notorious for censoring artists and carrying all the edited versions. i decided to check if they had the edited Undertow, and they did!
http://www.toolcollector.net/officia...ow_barcode.jpg
it looks exactly like that. no artwork, just a white paper with a barcode. that's it.
so i popped it in, eager for a giggle. i went to Sober and I hear, "Jesus, won't you fucking whistle.."
SAY WHAT?!!? i mean, it's not like i really give a crap that it's censored--i already have the real album which i listen to, but i was pretty surprised that it's not actually censored.
the CD numbers are different, my regular Undertow is 61422-31052-2 whereas the edited is 61422-31073-2 (although they look the same). it's even 69 tracks (i thought the edited version was just 10...)
the FAQ says the Wal-Mart version has different artwork--it doesnt mention anything about the tracks. did wal-mart really get pissed about the art, but not the songs? weird.

Wal-Mart objected to the artwork but didn't have a problem with the content.
Crazy, I know, but that's how it goes.

extremely humorous since most walmart customers are grotesquely obese people buying ten 2 leaders of soda at a time.

Earlier versions used to have a note on the backside of the barcode cover, by the way. ;)

Yea, old news dude. Though I noticed that I haven't seen the censored version (even in fuck-mart) for a couple years.

I actually bought it as of recent simply because it was the censored version. I was hoping the note would be inside, but it wasn't, to my dismay.
Aside from the art and the cover, the CD is exactly the same.
