Don't let that video give you any ideas if someone holds a phone up in your line of sight at a tool show...

I think Maynards mind is made up when it comes to this subject.

Why does that have anything to do with A) what I believe, and B) how good Wovenhand's music is?

Also, from what I've read, the band members take turns picking the opener for the tour. It probably wasn't up to Maynard.

It doesn't.
It doesn't.

Don't be so defensive I was just stating my view. My opinion doesn't make yours less credible.
Now I'm off to listen to some Wovenhand even if they may not open the Sac. show.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

It sounds like lots of Tool fans are being open minded about Wovenhand. Thats good to see. I really enjoy some of their stuff and I hope they get a warm reception at the shows. Unfortunately it looks like they wont be the supporting act on my half of the summer tour. I wonder if there will even be another one?

I made the trip to the DC Isis show as well. Great time, but I forgot my earplugs and still can't hear anything.

Yeah, hopefully you didn't get too much permanent hearing damage. Temporary hearing damage can last up to 3 days.

If you forget your ear plugs in the future, you can make some hearing protection out of a napkin - just mold a small piece of napkin into a good shape to fit in your ear. Of course, ear plugs are much more effective.

I know junior is currently in "hiding", but I wonder if anybody will be posting notes from the crew over on TA. I really enjoyed reading about their experiences.

Yup. I grabbed a decent pair for diego just in case the nokia thing shits the bed. Probably go to that and 1 nokia and be good with that.

Although I find christianity to be vile and insane, the wolfhaven tracks on their myspace are damn good and I'll be buying one or more of their discs shortly.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

Tried to get tickets this morning and couldn't pull anything good!! Started off trying to get 6 then 4 then 3 and couldn't pull anything decent. Those ticketmaster devils are a bunch of corrupt scum!! Looks like I'm going to have to spend a small fortune for some decent seats through some over priced agency... Once again! Out of the seven Shows I've been to in the past couple years I've pulled decent seats once!! Frustrated....

So, as I was watching the Yankees beat the Red Sox last night at the Staples Center with the bulbs flashing, the crowd roaring, I could only imagine Danny being in the crowd and going, "Ha. I've played here before..."

I wonder about this show? I was out an Outlet this morning and right at 10 and 2 seconds dude put in P1 (price level) 2 amount of tickets and it went right to section V in the bowl. He was cool and kept trying for dumps in the p1 rang for 15 minutes for me and nothing ever came up. I've never seen this happen before for a show and I score all my tickets I can at outlets. Is there some kind of hold for students or something? Did anyone get floors here?

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

Danny and Adam were featured on the Kiss Cam last night at the Lakers/Celtics Game 7.

No, they didn't kiss each other. First they showed Danny and Rynne then showed Adam and his wife/girlfriend.

It worked, the Lakers won!

They are a bunch of fucking retards. Ordered my tickets May15th or so and they still haven't come. I'm really getting sick of this shit. Show is in a week. Next time I'll pay more if it's someone more reliable than these assholes. If i don't get to see the show because of them, I'm gonna go find their hq and beat every last employee to death with a dildo just to make sure I get the one responsible.

There are some serious shenanigans going on with this show.

My friends got Bench Seats T row 30 and there is no such thing. Another friend got Bench seats section R row 27. Again no such seats.

I know at least 10 people that were online right on time and nobody floor seats.

If I hadn't been drinking so much, I would have had the sense to cough up a buck for the earplugs at the bar. Again, if I hadn't been drinking so much.... :-/

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

I know everyone's probably getting pretty excited about now but the closer the tour gets the more pissed i am. What did the east coast do to deserve this?

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

I made a similar (more detailed) post in the OKC thread, but I wanted to post here as well.
There are still good seats available on TM for the Oklahoma City show due to ticket dumps. I think there are still more ticket dumps to come because they STILL haven’t released some of the floor and side sections close to the stage (There were never any seats available for these sections on TM or any re-seller).

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

For y'all that haven't looked at the newest Tool Newsletter... Looks like we may get something different off of Aenima and Lateralus for this tour.

Blair also said "There was also one even older song on the list, but this one had a question mark after it. It’s probably better just to leave it at that – not wanting to spoil anything just in case." Maybe Opiate?

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

Trying not to get my hopes up, but from Junior's last post I felt it could mean 2-3 different songs for the setlist. Looks like that may be right!
