about 36 hours to go for me. I have heard Vicarious and the first couple of lines in The Pot. And damn it, I walked into a record store the other day and they were playing something, Jambi, I am guessing. I had to leave. I really want to hear in context first. Unfortunately, I will be picking up my copy when the store opens at midnight tomorrow when they are bound to play the album on repeat for hours. Ha ha, maybe I should go in with earplugs - how geeky would that be?!?

All I've heard is the 30 sec clip of Vicarious on Toolband. May 2nd is also my last day of classes this semester, so it will be a glorious occasion when I leave my last class and go out to buy the album.

There's nothing wrong with the quality. I've seen the pictures of the CD/book/etc. It will not make any difference. It's not like you can't buy it after you've downloaded it.

Powell...I used to live in Powell!
Oh, and I haven't heard the album yet either. I've heard Vicarious, and a few seconds of a few of the other tracks. I'm taking Tuesday off so I can absorb this album and also get into the new Pearl Jam record.

True. But it's kind of a nostalgia thing for me. Something about running out to the store Tuesday morning, ripping through the shrinkwrap casing, popping it in my car stereo and driving around until it's over... It just makes me happier.

The only song i've heard is Vicarious, but other than that, I refuse to listen to the rest of the album. It spoils buying the cd for me.

Still waiting, although I did read the lyrics. I'm not going to lie--I have expectations, but I'm not going to be crushed if i get something completely different. I think I'll like it.

If I could find a full quality .iso of the CD I probably would download it, but if I don't I won't listen until the 2nd.

Only heard the single thus far... been tempted a lot, but refuse to give in... I think I feel like Tool would KNOW in that creepy kinda way that I pirated the cd and our (nonexistant) relationship would be tainted forever....
Meanwhile I'm stressing how exactly I'll pull off getting to a music store on Tuesday since I live in an isolated campus. We have free city-wide bussing!... that doesn't go anywhere near music stores on weekdays :(

I must admit last night I broke down and sucommed to the Inet. Got home last night, after excessive drinking and excessive foosball, and saw that Alex Grey was selling autographed copies of 10000 days. I bought 2 and then saw it will take 2-3 weeks for delivery. Figured everyone else had a sip, so why not I.

Only vicarious so far. Today my local station played The pot. I missed it, which is okay. I want to wait. They have this thing called sunday cd download, and they're gonna play the whole album ( 93x.com @ 10:30 pm ). I'm so tempted for a lil' tease, what should one do ?

Good job. You're going to have a much more rewarding experience than I did listening to the sub-par quality leak for the last 2 weeks. But it still rocked. Thursday I made myself stop listening until Tuesday, and even that has been sort of hard.
Keep up the good work.

Still waiting, May 2nd is close, yet so far. Even if I wanted to hear it now, I can't...because my computer sucks

You guys are jerks if you don't wait to hear the album. I got Tool to come over to my house the other day and Maynard was like "yo man, we're gonna play all our new songs for you" and I was like "no way you ninny, I'm waiting until May 2nd!" So Maynard was all crying and the rest of the band had to console him. They were all calling me things like "bully" and "facist," but I just told them "look you scallywags, I don't need you to tell me when it's time. The Time will be special. 10,000dayshood is a special time in a young persons life. It's a time of questions. A time of discovery. And I don't need you pushy rascals telling me about my special time." So, of course, after I told the band this, they were totally burned. But I didn't care. Because I realized that only I can know when that special time may be. It may be May 2nd. Maybe the 3rd. Maybe not until June 1st. Or the 4th. Or August sometime. But I'll probably plan some kind of beach trip around then, so August is out. What about September? No, I usually require the whole month to recoup after Labor Day. Damn, I should probably plan ahead then and do it sometime around the beginning of May. Which is perfect! I believe May 2nd will be the day. Unless I get my legs broken again.

Do you really want your first listen to be a mangled FM broadcast? Ugh.
If you're gonna cave, get the MP3s.

I held out until today, when I obviously cracked and went to pick it up from my local record store, and it felt pretty good... I am glad I waited, I think…
