Just got an email from ticket master, this is what it say in the end :
If we do not hear from you by 12 noon Mountain Time on Friday, April 2, 2007, your original tickets will be cancelled and your credit card refunded.
Fuck that sucks... sorry to all of you who bought tickets outside of ticketmaster, looks like they are going to fuck you in the end.. maybe someone can call who has outside tickets and let us know?
So I got in contact with the guy I bought the tickets from off of Ebay. I asked him if he was aware of this situation. He said he was, and that he is the original purchaser and re-confirmed the tickets yesterday. He assured me that the tickets will be good for Firday nights show. I hope all goes well...wish me luck....At least he has 100% feedback, and most if not all of his transactions are with tickets, so I am sure he is a broker...
Sounds like it's going to work out ok for you. GL
I shot Blair an email over at Toolband about this issue and suggested he post it up on the News section. If even 10% of the people who show up at one of these shows doesn't know about this, that will be 250 angry and confused Tool fans demanding to see management! I don't even want to think about how THAT will turn out.
This is ridiculous. Everyone (including myself) bitches about scalpers and what not. Then, this little confirmation thing happens where you have to make a little phone call to confirm your ticket, and you all are worried about "what happens to the tickets bought from scalpers?" I'll tell you - you either confirm or you get shafted. This is awesome I think. If a ton of people get shafted for a few hundred bucks because of scalpers, do you think they will buy tickets from them again? Hmmmm doubtful. Sure the pockets of the scalpers are still lined with cash, but you were the one who paid them the money anyways.
I'm seriously doubting you absolutely need the CC number. If you have tix in hand, you have tons of numbers and info on the ticket they can confirm from. What happens when tix were bought by parents for kids, or as gifts to someone? Not everyone paid by CC either, I'm sure some were at the box office and paid cash.
Quit whining and complaining, at least you are going if you get off your lazy ass and make a 3 minute phone call. If not, I know some people who may be buying your ticket from ticketmaster when you don't confirm by the 2nd.

There are people who bought tickets through places like TDN or just from private parties who were not scalping. Just because you did not get a ticket through TM does not mean you got a ticket through a scalper.
I too would be interested to hear from anyone who managed to 'confirm' their seats with something other than a cc or order number. All I know is those were the two options they gave me.
I just find it interesting that this is the only rescheduled show that is having this happen.
I called STUBHUB and they called the seller for me while I was on the phone, and the seller told them to let me know she would have it done in the morning. That would have licked nuts to have flown in from Houston and got the news while I was waiting in line for the show --
Thanks for the advice...and I have. Just like I saw them at the Thomas and Mack and The Hundtridge years ago.
the huntridge show was the goods. even after the re-scheduling shit.
i got the tktmstr call yesterday as well. and an e-mail and i went through the steps with the e-mail and now they say someone is gonna call me from customer service. they didn't call for tucson. a bit nervewracking

I agree. While it didn't have the huge stage production, the show was still awesome....and that's considering what a dump that place was.

Speaking of stage production, are there any leaks as to what we may be in store for this round ? There was an interview with Danny & Justin I believe, that indicated that we were in for more of an intense visual expierience and props may be included this round ???? Tool / props ?? I'm not so sure it fits, but we'll see !--It would be killer if Maynard came back up to the front of the stage like the good ol' days ! Freak !

I've probably heard the same as you in regards to the stage production. All I've read is that it is going to be a little different...possibly visuals playing more of a factor. This makes me want them to come to Indy or Wisconsin even more considering I hated the stage set-up for the 10,000 days tour. Here I went and tried my hardest to get good seats, and it ended up that the people in the nosebleed sections got to see more. Oh well!
And I do miss the good old days, however, even as recent as the Lateralus Tour I enjoyed myself. Something was just missing this time around....but then again I'll go ahead and blame that on my expectations being too high and unrealistic.

Let me tell you about expectations ! We here in Houston haven't had a solid Tool show since they were here in 01 --That Woodlands show was amazing even coming the day after the Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans which mind you topped out at about 85,000 people --But when they came back to play th Compaq Center he walked off stage during The Patient due to reasons unknown and wound up cutting 2 songs out of the set..Then there was the 9/11/06 show which should have been special just due to the date, but yet again he had issues and cut 2 songs off the set ...The moral of the story is that theres not a Tool fan out there that doesn't get emotionally wound up when they come to town --For all of our sake I hope they let their nuts hang this time out !!!!!!!!!
ToolBand confirms the bullshit reguarding the tickets for the 2 Vegas shows ! I sure hope that --A) Danny is fully healed B) Maynards not sick and C) They give us the show of a lifetime ! I don't believe that they're playing anywhere else that is as intimate as The Pearl --Hopefully they will be as pumped to be there as we all will !!! --
I hit Blair immediately with an email about this so it looks like that got through (tho I'm sure I wasn't the only one).
As for 'why' they are doing this- I put up my guess in a previous post; I think they are filming a live DVD. The promoter and band seem very determined to have a full house for these shows, and with the reschedule they were probably worried some tickets would go unused if they left it alone.
Can somebody either post or PM me with the number to call for Ticketmaster to confirm the tickets. I want to make sure that the ones I got from Ebay are actually confirmed like I have been told. Do you think Ticketmaster can tell me if they just have been confirmed or not? Thanks.

Not sure if they can confirm or not just based on ticket. Just call your local TM number. They can take care of it, afaik.
I just emailed the Ebay seller requesting the information regarding the purchase, hopefully he can folow through just so I can hear for myself from TM that they in fact have been confirmed. And everyone is being told to keep the old tickets and new ones will NOT be issued, correct? Thanks.
Why do the people that bought there tickets online have to confirm those tickets?
But if you bought them at an outlet, you don't have to confirm Sh!t and the tickets will be valid? And then for TOOL ARMY it's tell us either way or you get the tickets and eat crow if you can not go?
The only thing I think is that if you are out of the area you would have bought online and if that's the case what goes for the luckies that scored tickets over the phone? What goes for their tickets?
Whish I can make these shows and will be shooting for rerelease tickets. This takes the cake for Ticketbastard. Any extras please (face!)

As long as you are confirmed then the old tickets purchased through TM will work.
Looking for a spare ticky. Did you dump your ex? Are your buddies too broke to pay you? I'll make the trek out from PHX to make the show. [email protected]
Well the Ebay seller was kind enough to give me all the order information. So I called TM myself, got a customer service rep, told them that I plan on being there, and they said they noted the account. So i hope thats all I have to do to make sure my tickets will be honored.
This thread has been dead for about a week, You all realize that we are about to catch them at the tightest venue on the tour? 1st show of the tour at that ! I have a good feeling that they will be on their game that night ---Are we pumped out there ? Let's talk it up, were a month away ! Wonder what that freak will come out wearing that night ?
I've been wondering considering the possibility of them using the Vegas shows for the supposed "LIVE DVD"- We didn't get the gas mask as those overseas got ...also wondering what songs they as a band want the entire public to view live. They have certainlly had extra time to plan it out.
There is just something about the 1st show on a tour that rocks --I've seen Ministry, Soulfly, Manson and a few others on their 1st show and I can say that there is a level of intensity that goes along with it whatever it may be--Could be shaking of the performance anxiety--who knows but they have all stood out to me individually over the countless times I have seen them --can't wait to hear what the Rev. Maynard has in store for us !

UNO --- Ya, at 1st I was a little bumbed that i didn't score tix for both nights, but at the end of the day F!@# IT, I'm there for the opener! I know they will mix it up on the 2nd show but the 2 song change up wasn't worth another $600 bucks--Love them but not that much ya know --I'll be at the San Antonio show in May and I'd bet he does something for them ---they wound up getting the shaft 2wice since they started touring!
I was at the last show of the Lateralus tour and it was great. Its going to be awesome to be at a begining show too. Has anyone heard anything about an opening act?

I'm guessing it will be an "Evening with TOOL" show. Kinda like the mini-tour, no opener.
I've gone back and looked at Briznitch's post on 3/15 of the venue and still can't fathom how F@#&ing loud and intense its going to be in such a small place --i bet people clear across the casino will be swaying and grooving to Tool that night!

I just looked again too and then checked my ticket for Thursday night- row D seat 1, Sec 202. I would like to point out that (pretty sure) if you look just above the word 'views' in the second picture caption, right on the aisle, that is MY seat!

im calling these two shows will become a dvd. and my calls are ALWAYS right. my latest call was the first live WFM.

I don't think it's wooden. I also don't think it's going to be so loud that people can hear it outside, seriously. It's a brand new venue. It's got soundproofing to the max and probably will be a perfect volume, given the soundguy knows what he's doing this tour, unlike some of the last 2. They don't make rooms like that to blow your ears out, they do it for good sound.
And I haven't heard that Nails will play there for sure, but come on. It will happen. Where else are they even going to want to play in this town now? Thomas and Mack doesn't do shit anymore, and everywhere else is either too big or too small or too expensive. And we don't have an amphitheatre. Only reason I brought up Nails is because, after watching that last DVD they just came out with, it's sad to say but their productions blow Tool's out of the water, hands down. Tool jams hard, but they don't come close to the Nails stage show. That screen in the NIN dvd is way, way, way, way cooler than the Tool Screen-stage thing. My opinion.
