The Green Mule

I wrote this in under an hour (don't judge me lol.) I'm practicing slam poetry

Well there’s work, the push and shove,
We need money, the bills, lifestyle,
but wouldn’t we all give it away to find love.

I’ve lived here, I’ve moved there
I’ve partied with the fella’s
It wouldn’t make a night without the odd scare

Is it important to seek happiness?
Don’t we all want a better way to live?
It seems money is tied to charity
Employment the only way to give

Well there’s science, God or the next thrill,
what do you want?
A child, sky diving, tell me you’ve had an ecstasy pill?
