"There are now some very strong rumours that Tool will be headlining this years Lollapalooza festival:
The Killers and Tool are expected to fill out the headlining slots for the fifth annual Lollapalooza festival Aug. 7-9 in Grant Park.
Multiple industry sources confirmed over the weekend at the South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin, Texas, that the two bands will join headliners previously reported by the Tribune: the Beastie Boys, Depeche Mode and Jane’s Addiction, plus Kings of Leon.
I will wait for an official confirmation from either the festival organisers or Toolband before really believing this, but these rumours are the strongest indication yet.

I heard tickets are about 80$ usually, that's for one day. So, I'm gonna have to start saving; as I am NOT missing this show!

I'm sure many of you have heard of an upcoming summer tour. Although I can't announce any specific dates yet (as the bulk of the dates haven't been confirmed), once they are finalized and official, we'll be sure to announce them on the site. So... be on the lookout for these dates to be posted soon, and get ready for live Tool this summer. (Now I understand what that elemental was referring to in the February newsletter)
Posted on Toolband...see, now this is confusing. Is Lollapollooza just going to end up being a side gig while they are touring? Or is it just that gig they will play?

They don't say what day Tool will be playing though...otherwise I'm not shelling out $200 per ticket for a 3 day pass to see a bunch of fucktwats that I don't care to see. I just want a 1day pass to see Tool.

i went to lollapalooza last year. man it was a fuckin great time. radiohead, rage against the machine, nine inch nails, mgmt, chromeo, the black keys, etc etc. in all i wish i could have the funds to make the trip this year unfortunately no money like last year.
but i recommend for everyone to attend this festival atleast once, its in a great city too. they know how to rock out.
I was just sitting here watching fuse tv and they had a commercial about how they will be airing footage of lolapalooza on august 14th i think it was. they named bands that were gonna be on the show and tool was the second or third band named. they showed a 3 or 4 second clip of the schism video when they named tool. I jumped on the comptuter and went to the fuse website to see if I could verify what i heard but i couldn't find shit. So of course I googled it and still no results. Has anyone else seen this commercial?? I honestly don't believe tool would allow that to happen. Everyone watch fuse tv to see this commercial....

Lollapalooza will be aired on FUSE TV, they've been doing that for the past few times already. they aired mainly the main stage acts and maybe a few small acts. and TOOL playing on the main stage, means they will be aired. I went last year and seen professional cameras and all the works. and my friend said he saw radiohead, nin, rage against the machine, gnarles barkley, etc etc all on fuse.
