Re: 2006/09/14 - Dallas, TX - American Airlines Center
still haven't been able to find any idea of an onsale date or any other information at all for that matter...
i'm literally counting the moments until this show happens and i'm trying to get a schedule worked out with my job so that i can be sure to be off on the day tix go on sale...
i guess all i'm saying is if anyone sees/hears anything, please post it...
maybe i'm just being impatient....
maybe i'm just tired.

Re: 2006/09/14 - Dallas, TX - American Airlines Center
I've seen 3 shows that were announced the same day as the TX shows, post on Ticketmaster for an on-sale date of Jul 15th. Just keep an eye out on the evil ticket empire's site.
Re: 2006/09/14 - Dallas, TX - American Airlines Center
Concert ticket usually go on sale Saturday mornings, around 9 or 10:00 am. This Saturday could be the day. Anybody from Toolarmy know anything? I've seen tickets already on some sites but I'm skeptical. Have to check back on them. BTW, some shows go on sale on Friday afternoons. I remember buying tix for a SOAD show on a Friday afternoon around 5:00 pm.

Not for a large venue show... unless it's the kind of place that has seats up close and you want to be close. For example, the Woodlands show in Houston will be like that... Unless of course, TOOLArmy decides to come through for the members.
Re: 2006/09/14 - Dallas, TX - American Airlines Center
I'm midly freaking out. I checked Tickmaster last week to see when concert tickets would go on sale...it didn't say. I checked again today and now it doesn't even have them as coming here. I went to American Airlines Center website...they do not have Tool down on their calender of events (when they were on the calender last week). Please, does anyone know what's going on??!!

Nice first post *rolls eyes*
Tool IS playing here September 14th, ticketmaster and AA are just being retards. Tickets most likely go on sale the 22nd at 10 AM CT.

We've all been first time posters some time in our lives. Thanks for the warm invitation *rolls eyes*
Re: 2006/09/14 - Dallas, TX - American Airlines Center
You all are under a complete misapprehension if you think Tool is performing in Dallas. The deal was announced before it was finalized. AA center does not have Tool on there schedule...both on line and on the phone. Sales for the San Antonio show go on sale on the 22nd. Not for Dallas! Look it up yourselves!
Re: 2006/09/14 - Dallas, TX - American Airlines Center
Maybe AA Center doesn't have it finalized, but I don't think Tool's management is going to accidently announce shows that don't exist. It's Tool, one of the greatest rock bands in history, their not going to post official tour dates on their site just for the hell of it. AA Center is ALWAYS behind when posting shows on their schedule. Trust me, this show is happening, we just need to be patient and wait for tickets.
Look, asshole scalpers already have some tickets for sale:
Re: 2006/09/14 - Dallas, TX - American Airlines Center
I wouldn't freak out that AA Center doesn't have it listed yet. That's not uncommon. But I also wouldn't assume that tickets go onsale next Sat. just because the San Antonio show is going onsale that day.
Edit: Besides, it's not like the AA Center is like McFarlin. This show isn't going to sell out in a matter of minutes.
Re: 2006/09/14 - Dallas, TX - American Airlines Center
Called Ticketmaster they said they have no confirmation of show in Dallas. Only San Antonio. San Antonio tickets go on sale the 22nd. Called AA center, talked to Kevin Melsbey, Event Coordinator. He said they have not booked the band.
Re: 2006/09/14 - Dallas, TX - American Airlines Center
Erin, Ticketmaster OBVIOUSLY isn't going to tell you of any show that is not already on their site, and the same holds true for the AA Center. They're not going to say..."hey, we're waiting for them to sign the contract and send the deposit, so sit tight and we will have their show on the schedule once we get it confirmed." I'm sure the show is in the final stages of getting finalized, and when it gets confirmed we will all know the ticket information. I wouldn't put money on tickets coming out this Saturday (though it wouldn't surprise me), but I would bet 234213523 bucks that tickets WILL come out sometime in the next month.

It's rare that a venue ever directly books an event. There's usually this thing, called a "promoter" that books such things. So yeah, of course the AA center didn't book the band. The promoter that's going to make money off of bringing the band to town is the one making the booking.
And lookie there. The EDGE is the one booking the show!

If memory serves, 4 years ago the presales were usually done on the Wednesday before tickets went onsale to the public. I don't expect there to be presales... at least for the shows going onsale this Saturday.

What do you think will be the final cost, guys? With the fees and stuff being added by ticketmaster. Around $70?
My dad works for a radio station, so I'm going to get tickets without having to go through all the Ticketmaster bullshit. However, I want pit tickets, so does anyone know how much they will cost?

Such as?
Granada only holds a couple thousand, Lakewood only holds a couple thousand and their sound sucks. The local clubs are too small. Smirnoff is okay. Where exactly do you think would be a better venue?
The AA center is a state of the art building and Mark Cuban is no techno-slouch. It's setup for media, period. It sounds great in there.
