An Apology To Everyone At toolshed.down.net: Poetry And Prose
Starting some three or so years ago, when I had just recently turned fifteen, I stumbled upon this particular website. I found this particular sub-forum, and, to put it bluntly, began ripping a good deal of the creative works posted on here for my own. Sometimes I would change the content, though never very much. I think the reason for that being, I was trying to fool myself into thinking it was something more that just plagiarism. The fact being that it was though, is inescapable.
I am sorry for the actions, and the wrong I have done to all of you. I intend never to do this again. And although you have no good reason to believe me, it is the truth.
Although they were posted on this account: http://seppo-ilmarien.deviantart.com/
They are as of now deleted, but I will make no attempt to hide the act I have committed.
Re: An Apology To Everyone At toolshed.down.net: Poetry And Prose
Ya would have got away with it, were it not for the fact that I am a habitual googler of TDN poetry.
Kudos for owning up.
Clarification: When I read something in P&P that I like and want to comment on, I always choose one or two lines from the piece and google them. The reason I do this, is to make sure as best I can that the piece is original and has not been plagiarized. Nearly three years ago, I commented on the writing of a poster here named t00lhead. I was very fond of his poetry and gave much praise to it. As it turned out, he was plagiarist and was posting another poets work, changing titles and such, and taking credit for words that were not his own. I find this repugnant. That experience has tuned me into somewhat of a pessimist when it comes to most of the writing posted here. That is why I habitually google poetry before commenting on it.

lotus, think about the reactions by previous tdn'ers who have done the same thing and then been caught out. Have any of them ever apologized? No. They mostly just hide or disappear.

I forgive you man, first step on the path of redemption is to start posting your stuff here instead of deviantart. It's not like you pulled the "oh I meant to give the author(s) credit - oopsy!" card. I really don't care either way when it comes to my stuff, I'm more flattered than I am angry. I'm not even angry. Thanks for plagiarizing whatever it is you took from me, it gave me a boner.

The thing I'm mad at was him getting praise for our work on devinatART. That's that.
I'm hoping anyone who took the time to look at the page, will take the time to look at this, and realize where roughly 90% of my submissions came from.

I actually do like the fact you picked all my favorite writers here on tdn, heh.

I am sorry, to all of you here on TDN.
Well that was pretty much a complete lie, wasn't it Jambon?

Either way, I'm done here.
I may not know a hell of a lot about the world, but I know when I need to abstain from something. I can't tell you why I did what I did, and I don't think anyone here would honestly care to hear if I did have a reason. Not because you're bitter, but because there is no acceptable reason for all this.
Last post you'll ever hear from me, last time I'll load TDN.
Re: An Apology To Everyone At toolshed.down.net: Poetry And Prose
i only banned him because he didn't think mine/gretal's poetry was thievery-worthy.

maybe you could consider jambon as the pooling together of everyone's poetical resources? it's just that much more chance that the poetry will get published! if only he would share the wealth...

but how do you make a 5-6 person split on a free copy of an obscure local magazine?

everyone gets 1/6th of the magazine's pages
i guess i should have specified, by published i meant published in something someone cares enough about to at least pay more than nothing for. obscure free local 6 page 'zine does not fall into this category.
