I believe we were talking about the domestication of possums. I may be wrong, but it was something along those lines.

We sell them in an elongated bag, and 3 of them come in a bigger bag. You simply snip the corner of it and put it in a milk pitcher and it takes up no room in fridge. :)
I can't believe Americans don't have them.

I've always liked the part of "Bowling for Columbine" where Michael Moore points out the difference between Americans and Canadians on gun-culture.

They seem to be very alike on most but the Canadians turn out to be less triggerhappy.

I can't stand the guy. I think he doesn't have much valid to add on any conversations and find him extremely annoying. He's almost as annoying as the guy from Super Size Me.

I find it sad that Tool are catering to this entire guitar hero/mp3/ipod on demand lazy button pushing culture. If you want to learn how to play Tool's music then pick up a freaking instrument and practice. It might take a little time but the payoff is far greater than any random button smashing contest.
Amazing how things like instruments and books are going out of fashion. Must be that short attention span thing.

I responded with the same amount of ignorance and arrogance as your post.
Proof?:
"I find it sad that Tool are catering to this entire guitar hero/mp3/ipod on demand lazy button pushing culture." - This is simply idiotic to state. That's like saying "Oh how dare Tool cater to an audience who supports these "Compact Disc" inventions. We're in the generation of gaming, convenience and fun. To simply group these people as unintelligent because they don't play instruments proves you to be the biggest egotistical fuck on the forum. Let me remind you, Mr. Tool, that the band does not approve of such attributes and have stated that they enjoy the game?
"Amazing how things like instruments and books are going out of fashion. Must be that short attention span thing." - Book stores are in a greater abundance now than ever before. Books are selling a lot and there are millions of people making careers off of novels. But yes, you're right. Books are definitely going out of fashion. :|
Also, with the internet people can read all they want and its instantly accessible as well as free. You'd be an idiot not to capitalize on that.
Thanks, now fuck off.

How many times have the band said, in numerous interviews, that their music doesn't fit the itunes platform and it is meant to be experienced as a whole both musically and artisically? I will let you find the quotes since you seem to have the pulse of the band you pretentious dick.
Book stores. Again take your hand and hit that sarcasm button on your forehead I told you to stick there. Your response is so absurd its not even worth the time it would take to dissect and render it useless. Try again.
Oh and lastly and of course most importantly....was it not Blair himself who in a newsletter a few months back put an emailer on blast about wanting Tool on Guitar Hero??? Even going so far as to make a statement about individuals who are actually try to learn to play REAL instruments. But again I digress since you seem to have the pulse of the band.
So try again boss.
I know you can do better I believe in you!
|
First point is used out of context. They said they'd not sell their music on iTunes, that doesn't make people who utilize iTunes complete idiots as you've stated.
My book point is perfectly valid. Show me how books are becoming a thing of the past. Until then, I'm correct.
Lasly, Blair is extremely one dimensional in his writing and is often hated for it. Petition people on these forums and find how in tune with the masses he is. Plus, misleading isn't that hard to do with a half-assed statement against someone emailing him about Guitar Hero content.
You can do the whole superior, "Try again, I'm winning in my own opinion" act or you can give some fucking facts.

Guitar Hero is a money maker and so be it. But I find it sad that the band is delving into the lowest common denominator rather than encouraging people to be creative. Playing Guitar Hero is certainly not a creative endeavor.
I am guessing you must play an awful lot of guitar hero to produce such a frothing knee jerk reaction. And never put words in my mouth dick. My statement wasn't castigating anyone and everyone who owns an mp3 player or plays guitar hero you dumb fuck. Pay closer attention next time before you stick your peverbial keyboard in your mouth.

My argument was only as flawed as your original claims. Again, why are you going on about the band "selling out" or not "encouraging people to be creative". Want a good fucking fact? Rockband and Guitar Hero actually has spread the appeal of actual instruments. People are wanting to learn to play via the game, and that in itself inspires people to be creative.
Tool isn't God, they are a band who likes making money and giving their fans what they want. We want guitar hero tracks. So what?

Musicians who approach music with your level of arrogance almost unilatterally fail on every concievable level. While I wouldn't wish that on anyone one can only ponder at how much of your personality poisoned the end product. Hopefully your bandmates had the sense to write the music themselves so you can simply stand on stage and fly up and down the fingerboard like the guitar god you so obviously pretend to be.

Says the biggest egotistical cynical fuck in this entire thread. You've come in spurting forth redundant points that anyone would easily be able to dispute--except in your convoluted mind. You've put down others for not playing instruments and when they say that they do, you go on about how horrible of a product it is.
This proves that a) your synthetic coating of big words and sentence structure obviously cannot hide your child-like level of intelligence, b) you claim to know Tool's message but steer clear of touching upon their established thoughts.
You fail on all levels. As said several times, fuck off.

My favorite album has to be Muse's Origins of Symmetry and a close second is NIN's The Fragile.
Also, Radiohead's OK Computer gets a nod. As does Nicklebacks Silver Side Up. Yes the last one was a joke.
