Watch it buddy! ;) I'm a hop head and love me some good IPA's (Stone, Avery, Pliny the Elder, etc.), Coors Light is my go to choice when I'm going to be drinking 6+ beers + I'm a Colorado native and have a couple of buddies that work at Coors and get free Coors products from them. Coors just came out with a lager called Colorado Native which is made with 99% Colorado ingredients and is only available in Colorado. One of the rarer beers in the U.S. is the Barmen Pilsner which is now brewed by the Blue Moon/Sandlot brewery at Coors Field, which is owned by Coors. It is only available on tap at about 20 locations in the Golden/Denver area. It takes about 7 minutes to pour since it's on a nitrogen tap similar to the ones used to pour Guiness.

Here's a few links for 'ya

You know, that actually sounds rather interesting. I'm curious to see if they still make it taste like garbage if they go through the care of picking CO ingredients. I wouldn't expect hops to grow in CO, but hey, guess the state IS full of microclimates!

Me want.

If only I was going to the Red Rocks show...

maybe we should get together at Tornado some time! Give me a good Belgian any day!

PS don't get me wrong I don't drink Blue Moon - but it IS better than Coors.
A rather cool experiment (I homebrew) is seeing how long one can suck on a high alpha acid hop. Ze mouth goes numby-numb. Oh, and you can't taste anything for a good 30 minutes.

Toronado is by far the best bar in the city. Except when that lady is working. The dude with the glasses and long curly hair is infinitely more cool. The first time I was there, the next song on the jukebox was Lateralus. I knew we'd instantly be in love.

I had a friend "get into it" a bit with a bartender there who wouldn't give him some help picking out a beer.

I brew as well, my favorite is a California style steam beer (made famous by Anchor Steam) whereas you use lager yeast at (near) ale temperatures.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

Anyone looking for a good Brew tour, check out Boulder Beer Company. They make Mojo, Hazed and Infused, Sweaty Betty Blonde and many other tasty favorites of mine. I took the tour when a friend came to town two summers ago and it was the best brew tour I've ever done. It was free, and at the end of the tour they sit you down with two pitchers of every beer they make. Our group probably had 12-14 ppl in it, so that was about 2 pitchers/person. After you taste each one in the order they tell you, its a free for all. So free beer, a great free tour, and some cool ass ppl up in Boulder.

And seriously, if your a hop fan and you haven't tried Hazed and Infused, do yourself a favor when you come to Colorado.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

the best brewery iv'e been to has to be the shiner brewery in shiner, texas. free tours every 15 minutes or so, and you can see everything from the brewing tanks to the bottling machines. at the end you can go to the gift shop/beer dispensary and be served free beer, still warm. it helps that its damn good beer, too.

also, i like how this thread has gone from discussing taxi fares to normal tour talk then to brewery tours.

lady gaga needs a year to make sure her shows sell as many tickets possible. tool can announce their tour dates with barely a months warning and still sell out wherever they play.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to get a double shot of Maynard with Puscifer?

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

So I'm not sure that has been said anywhere but i was just looking on the Nokia and Staples websites and that little ass hat justin beiber is playing the Nokia on July 20th and there is a WNBA game at Staples Center at noon that day as well. If this July 20th date is really going down where would they play, the Forum?

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

I may be too drunk to follow this thread right now.

HOWEVER. Did someone just suggest Slipknot is the best band to ever step on stage? Oh boy.

FYI - Slipknot has nothing on Justin Beiber.

ok I thought you were Toolwench (not wrench) so I thought you were a chick and found it odd that a chick would like Slipknot.

Now I realize you are not a chick.
