After adam's solo and right when justin's insane bass line drop's, it sounds like maynard is singing "Hey, Ho" over and over again??? I really don't think he is but it sure sound's alot like it. If anyone know's what he's singing here or has an idea of what he's singing please elaborate since it's not in the official lyrics and, it really bother's me that i can't figure it out.

I know but what is he singing? I know it's not Hey, Ho because the song is about his mother. I've listened with headphone's on numerous times and cant hear anything but Hey, Ho. Sorry if i'm being redundant :o)

I hear the Hey, ho thing. but I think it's just like Eulogy33 said: "heyyyy, oohhhh". I think he's just singing.

alot of bands do it. Often because they cant think of any lyrics to fit that peice of music, but its too weak without the vocals.
Or because they beleive their fans are too untalented/stupid to sing along to sing along to intelligible lyrics.
(No, i do not think tool fits into either of these catagorys. Yes i am glad he does it.Im one of the ones too deficient in talent/un-stupid-ness-thang to sing along to real words.)

i think if he is singing a word, i agree its probably "halo"
ex:
Haaa - looo - ooh - ouohu - uuooh
Haee - Louu - oooh - uuooh - uoh - uoh - uoh - uoh - uouoh /you are the light
I geuss he could just be not really saying anything, im pretty sure if he is vocalizing "hey", he doesn't mean it in context.

Yeshua (Aramaic pronunciation of "Jesus").
Doesn't quite work here.
Heysus sounds more like the Spanish pronunciation of "Jesus" which doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
