What's this venue like? I've never been to it, and it looks like this will be the last time i get to see Tool before I leave the country. So I'm going to this one if I can, but I don't know much about the venue. Any info would be appreciated. I've visited the site, but i'm curious about the quality of sound and visuals.

I doubt there will be a DFW show...remember, this a "secondary markets" tour, and plus they've been to Dallas twice in the last 9 months already.
Unless they add more California dates at the start of this tour, I will be at the OKC show. I've never been to the Ford Center, but I do know that the sound quality at Cox, which is right next door, is really good.
I have been to Green Day at the Ford Center and i thought the sound was awesome, the ford center is a nice venue the concert will be awesome. Tool on my fucking birthday also it does not get much better than that. Can not wait for the show I had to drive to AMerican Airlines in September to watch them but now they are right in my backyard cant fucking wait
I saw Nine Inch Nails at the Ford Center last year. It was unbelievable. Very nice venue. Great sound. In fact I think some of the new NiN DVD coming out Feb 28th has some OKC footage. (I remember them telling us to look at the HD cameras!)
So does anyone know if there will be a pre sale like Vegas got? PLEASE :) at ToolArmy?
Seeing as the tickets go on sale 10:00AM THIS SATURDAY at Ticketfucker. Also, I'm afraid if I get pit tickets it will ruin the experience. Who knows

Oh and if anyone wants to meet up with me and my friend before the show and smoke or have a drink let me know!
hell yeah I will meet up with you guys and have a couple of beers and a joint before the show. I will be with about 7 of my friends I seriously can not wait for this show.
The only Tool concert i've seen (which melted my face it was so good) was in Dallas in SEATS. If i can grab section 2 PIT tickets, do you think that would be a good idea? Or are seats preferred?

The Ford Center is a great venue. It's a pretty big place, and the acoustics aren't bad at all. It's only like 5 years old too, so it's fairly modern. I would recommend getting floor seats if you can. I saw Incubus there a few years back and we had floor seats and we had a great view the whole time. I can't wait for this show!
On a side note, does anyone know what the max number of tickets will be through Ticketbastard? I'm not in TA either, so hopefully I'll still be able to get good tix.

i'm pretty sure that it is only 6 tickets, not for sure though. does anyone know whether or not the floor seats are going to be GA, or assigned seats? By the looks of it they probably will have seats on the floor. http://www.okfordcenter.com/events/TOOL.html, but i'm not positive.

It will be seated, I called the ford center the other day and thats what the lady said.
I really rather have lower level seats than floor seats, i heard some people couldnt even see the show. But my question is im buying 3 tickets do u think i should go for best available or take the time to hit lower level seats? ill be driving from dallas and staying in a hotel for the night, glad to hear the venue is nice. man i hope i get some tickets....
it will definately be a seated floor. make no mistake...
...we should expect that TooL will do this for the rest of their career.
once you actually experience it, you'll know why. it makes things sooooo much better.
when everyone can just watch, listen, and absorb the entire experience as it's intended, (instead of having to worry about which meathead dick mite accidentally knock you to the floor causing you to be trampled to death...) you can connect on an entirely different level...
i don't think i'll be able to make it to this one. my amazing wife is pregnant, and we need every last cent saved for the future of my darling daughter...
i have no regrets tho...
just one request...
please... someone... anyone... try to get a good recording of the show...
i would be eternally grateful.
who knows tho. maybe i'll be there after all...
...PeAcE...

if i were you honestly i would get lower level seats, because when i went to dallas last year i had floor seats and really could not enjoy the light show and the seeing the stage like i would have like so tom i will be trying for lower level...
It does look like seating but man those chairs are gonna get torn out just wait, people will be standing on them,so what is the point of floor seating? Ive seen tool pretty much every time theyve played OKC and it was always GA,this will be strange, would be nice to go back to the Aenima days when tickets were 20 bucks!
This is shit. I hit search for tickets at 10:00:05 and typed in lower level floor seats or whatever it said, and it didn't find any tickets. Fucking scalpers. Oh well, I got 3 4th row lower level...
103 is actually a bit closer to the stage than 119. That's a pretty good section. You are on the left side of the stage, and I'm on the right just a bit. Either way, we will both be able to see everything fine.
I'll be in section 202 Row F with two buddies. Kinda lame seats but it was the best it would come up with. Oh well. I imagine we'll still be able to hear and see everything.
yea blows im in TA but because im in dallas no go on the presale and ticketbasterd finds a way to screw you over every time just glad to hear that ill at least be able to see everything. how laxed are they on smoking?
oh by the way toolarmy didnt get shit, you have to be within one hour of the ford center to qualify and you dont know what tickets you are getting, you cant choose,TA is a joke, ticketmaster sadly kicks their ass................HA!
I decided to attempt the presales, but also had my buddy do ticketmaster because I was unsure of the whole "location" restriction. Ticketmaster gave us section 104 Row L. As far as the presales go....I didn't think I get them, but Tool made a transaction with my bank this morning for 108 dollars. I have a strange feeling they will be floor seats, i dunno why.
