i'll re-post what i put in the elder thread like this. Who's goin to Denver with me and will you be bringing a camera of some sort since there allowed at this venue? I know tool never allows such things but how would they control something like that in a festival type situation where it's allowed?

I doubt it. I've been to several festivals with Tool headlining and I have seen many cameras. None were confiscated, at least while the performance was going on. At the gate? That I don't know. Although I got a half decent tip on this at the Coachella forums- if you think an electronic device you are trying to bring in might be confiscated, hold it in your hand. They usually have you raise your arms or search your bag, but for whatever reason there is a decent chance they won't notice something in your hand if it's small and looks like a cell phone.
Where have all of my endless posts about whatnot gone off to?
New thread, the other thread is still up, but the discussion has ceased. Hows are the prepartions for the tour coming along? Good stuff to come I hope!?
I wrote to TweakBird to see if the "13 shows" thing was a typo or not. I figured at worst I won't get a response and at best it might confirm an as-of-yet unannounced show.

i would say that's just a rumor. After a quick peek at their myspace, it seems they're too busy with the summer Warped Tour dates. They have Kansas City, Missouri on Aug 4 and then Idaho on Aug 7. It could happen, but it doesn't seem feasible, nor likely. And I agree with Kanaduh, I definitely could not picture them opening for Tool. We'll see though...
Just saw Tweak Bird open for Big Business at Bottom of the Hill. Seen them open for the Melvins as well. They ain't bad live with their little bird-like harmonies haha. Don't know how it will translate on a big stage, we shall see.

It will be interesting to see how it translates to the "big" stage. I also wonder about 2 piece bands that have created a sound in the studio that can't be replicated live with bass and overdubs.
I was hoping for Uncle Scratch!! Gaaaaaates of Hellll!
but this should be worth a look...

the thread still exists. it's just no longer 'sticky'
"General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged) ( Multi-page thread 1 2 3 4 5 ... Last Page )"
"Yeah Tool is fucking amazing. But there’s a big chunk of their fan base that think they’ve become thought provoking geniuses just from listening to them."

That other thread was really turning into a pissing match, anyway.
The stage setup loads into rehearsal tomorrow. I won't be there the first few days since I've got 2 more shows with Duran Duran and then I arrive at production rehearsals on Sunday. I believe the 15th will be our last day there as it loads into the trucks bound for Denver.
I've got some newish lights that won't be at rehearsals and will hopefully arrive in time for the Denver show. They're prototypes, and they're currently being used on the filming of a highly anticipated sequel whose name I'm not sure if I can mention. I'll look into that. The sequel isn't a secret, but it is secretive. I hope they don't go too far over schedule because then we might miss out on using them for the tour. They're supposed to be done with them on the 15th.
Anyway, I'm on my way to Vegas for a show at the Pearl on Friday.
So Tweak Bird, hm?
My husband and I listened to some tunes on their myspace music page just now. Reminds me of something different :) I love being introduced to new music because of the most obscure feelings and sensations I experience when trying to figure out whether or not I like the sounds. It's a feeling you don't get all the time! Wee!

Wow - coming soon a TOOL tour - whats up for this tour - whats the set list - stage set -
post your suggestions - Hopes - dreams - for this tour -
my question is will TOOL do a suprise show at a certain desert location on Labor day weekend this year - yes a sunrise acoustic set by the base of the man and then a second show at a time of there own choosing way out by the perimeter fence facing the deep playa -
Check out my short essay on theMaynard and Eric wine signing in Cambridge MA.

Well Junior, I may have been wrong about the venue for the California show, but I'm pretty sure the highly anticipated sequel you are referring to here is Iron Man 2.

Are you sure it's not New Moon- the Twilight sequel? Or maybe Rum Diary? Or maybe, just maybe Alice In Wonderland?
At any rate, I really do hope TooL brings out the lasers once again! ;^P

Does anyone know if they are designing a new stage or just using the old stage from 10,000 Days. I'm wondering if this is a actually a NEW tour or just a continuation of the 10,000 Days tour.
