Favorite Song?

What is everyone's favorite song on this album? Mine is probably Merkaba or Pushit. You Lied is good, too.

Hard

Thats a hard question, as with all tool albums, except for Opaite.....but i think on salival, the best tool song is without question, pushit....but the best song is No Quarter, cause its not a tool song.

Re: Favorite Song?

I like Merkaba and Pushit a lot too. The whole album is great. with one exception. I don't really care for maynard's dick.

i like maynard's dick...it seems to go back to Opiate style where tool pretty much just rocked out....and it's pretty funny. But my favoritew song would have to be Pushit....its a beautiful thing all around.....from danny to maynard, justin to adam, and espcially Mr. Dutta with his Tabla's. no Quarter is great too as well as all the other songs, albeit LAMC....kinda LAME, but a good album overall.

{2} impossible to answer...

LAMC isn't LAME but diabolic one...hes just knocking on your door to catch your ass and crusify you as well...funny and terrible at the same time
if seriously...my favorite song is You Lied...especially Justin's backvocals with Maynard's lead...beautiful song...i dunno... No Quarter kicks ass. like drummer myself i loved percussion and drumming on and the whole Pushit...
Merkaba is wonderful as psyhedelic experiense as well as Third Eye...what did i forget then? Part of Me? cool cool cool
i mean it..that's why its difficult to choose...and of course impossible to answer

No Quarter or Third Eye is my favorite on this album, both are truly great works of art (along with everything else Tool).

No quarter has grown on me to the point where i think its probably my favourite over Pushit on Salival.

Please stop with all this talk of Maynards dick. Its making me awfully frisky...

My single favorite song on Salival is No Quarter.

Pushit and Maynard's Dick are worth mentioning ;P

This version of Pushit is really amazing. It covers the entire spectrum of emotion. No Quarter is great too but Pushit has to be my favorite.

Pushit and Maynard's dick....both of them are beautiful things. (pun intended)

I particularly like the monologue before Pushit starts. "close your eyes and go there"---That's great stuff.

No Quarter is definately the best song on Salival.
It amazes me how they can pull off playing a song as unique as No Quarter with such ease. Ive played No Quarter to my friends who hate Tool, and they said they thought it was a good song, so that pretty much convinces me.

Third Eye is pretty much the same as in Ænima, but the new Pushit is awesome! (Not that I don't like Third Eye, it's one of the best). The covers "You Lied" and "No Quarter" are better than the original ones.
After a tough consideration, I'll pick Pushit.

merkaba,
This song has minimal lyrics with LOTS of meaning behind it, something that all writers strive for. Its great. I just wish i knew what it was about :/

Pushit is simply incredible. No Quarter is great, there's no denying that, but I would have to put it in a close second.

Hahaha i smell pretentiousness..... on another note...
Third eye is amazing in my opinion, The original version seemed calculated and almost cold, this one has soooo much more emotion... it totally rocks out. No quarter is amazing too. I try hard but i just cant make out the whispering for the life of me. IT'S FRICKEN SWEET!

pushit on salival is probably the most amazing thing i have ever heard, and hearing this version made me appreciate the original even more; when i first bought the album, however, i listened to no quarter every morning without fail for weeks. i love salival, even LAMC.

Pushit By a long shot. All the songs are great but I LOVE pushit. It as stated above, covers the whole of human emotion. It makes you feel them. Which to me is what music is all about
