Yeah...the guy from Green Jelly that has dreds and looks like a rastafarian. But then again, in the FAQ of the site, it mentions supposedly that there was a person in the crowed blowing a horn or something...but l don't think that's accurate, because the music would probably be louder than a horn.

Re: Whatsup with maynard
A guy who I used to work with claimed to be at that show. He wasn't a big Tool fan and didn't seem like he was trying to impress me, so I take him at his word. He said the show was 5 bux for five bands, but didn't remember the other 4.

Who couldn't like Bob Marley? Actually, it seems that he was probably just making fun of some guy that had dreds. Perhaps Maynard stereotyped someone due to their physical appearance. It happens.
Maybe we're all mistaken and he just wanted everyone to be like "What's he talking about?" So even years from when he said it (which we are 10 years from then), he'll still be laughing while people wonder.

I bet that he laughs at a lot of the things we wonder about. I bet there are a lot of obvious things that we mozy on over just because we don't want to see the easiest answer. Oh well.
i thought i was the vocalist from ratm, because they were playing shows together back in the day
i even heard a recording of bottom where whatever that guys name is from ratm did the spoken part in the middle.

It's not Zach D. Read the earlier posts. Rage and Tool did some work together on a couple songs, but it wasn't zach that maynard was talking to as far as I know. Tom Morello and Adam Jones were in a band in high school together. And as both rage and tool were forming in LA, they did some jamming / had eachother stand in on rehearsals and such.

Maynard did the part in Know Your Enemy (first RATM album); "I've got no patience now, so sick of complacence now..."

I don't think so cause as soon as yells at the guy a bunch of people go nuts so he must have been blowin a horn or somethin.

ive heard that at about 3:19 you can hear this bob marley man blowing a horn in the crowd. havent found it but
I've heard it, although it's maybe a second later. I thought it was a weird guitar noise, but it had a different sound than the guitar, if that makes any sense. 'Cause the horn wasn't distorted or anything, but the guitar sounds were.
it was george clinton. he was disrupting paul saying he should get some lights flashin on his bass and whatnot. maynard got annoyed and kicked him out.
