This may sound weird, but i was listening to the clapping of wings at the end of 10K lately and this came to mind.
Take this sounds and turn the volume up, add some distortion-effects and it sounds like the vibrating sound in Viginti Tres...
Coincidence?

I didn't actually try to that, i only imagined it.
But if the sound IS a close recording of the same clapping of wings, V.T. could be an interpretation on Judith-Marie's journey to heaven. The "voice" that speaks later on in the track could be the voice of GOD (or other divine entity) speaking to her and letting her pass on.
TOOL has been known to give their songs multiple interpretations. So this one joins (again) one religious aspect as well as an extraterrestrial one in the meaning that when you listen to V.T. at first it resembles some sort of spaceship passing by.
