Mweh. I was hoping I would be the only one who not heard it yet. Hah - well I havent heard a single note either and I'd probably have to wait till the 6th of May before I get to listen to it. I'll pick up my copies on the 2nd (I could get tem now, but I dont feel like it cause I'm sure I cant resist to listen to it with all this free time on my hands this weekend).

Oh by the way, I'm still holding too. only heard that damn 30 seconds.
Tuesday I'm waking up early to get the album before going to work. then I'll shit my pants and piss all around the comstomers who come in the grocery I work at, 'till I finish work at 4 pm and get to my place in 30 second. Then I'll change pants, get those two nice speakers to my left and right, look at the nice artwork, put in the cd and sit confortably on that sofa, while the music start and I close my eyes. Oh and I'll put a "get the fuck out of that area" sign before the listen, so that no one disturbs me.
That's gonna be something...

It's still good to see that I'm not the only one waiting! I'm in England, so I'll hear the album on Monday; that's hardly any time at all! especially considering all the months of anticipation. Have to say, I quite like the tension...

Only heard the single. Not a single note from the other songs. It's not like I don't want to hear it until the release date, but I just want to hear it on CD

I got the whole song now, but aside from that, Vicarious, and Viginti Tres (which wasn't worth it) I haven't heard anything except some 30-second snippets.
Damn, that probably doesn't count anymore.

Tons of us who downloaded it are still gonna buy it. I'm just impatient.
And Divine_Left, did you go to Avoyelles High? I went there my Sophmore year, and actually used to work (poorly) on the website, so I was flippin out when you linked their site hehe.

I have only heard Vicarious, but loved it so much I downloaded it and have heard it a hundred times since.. Played it for people at work and showed them the lyrics and they are now planning on buying it as well. So productivity today will be shit because all we can talk about is getting the CD tomorrow before work. Come to think of it, productivity tomorrow will be shit, too, because we will be listening to the CD on our computers using headphones, eyes closed ignoring that boring spreadsheet on the monitor.....

It does help to have time without interruption to digest this masterpiece. Take a sick day, tell you're girlfriend to go shopping for a few hours, take some deep breaths and pop it in. You won't be dissapointed.

* I have to work upcoming 4 days till 1530, be home at 1500
* I have more things to do, in which I cant enjoy the album
* The packaging is so nice with the wrapper around it
* All the negative talk about the album made extra cautious about it
* I promosed my g/f to do the Tool Marathon with her
That will explain enough. I hope.

I have still only heard Vicarious. I'm planning on buying the album tonight at midnight at Hastings. I haven't anticipated an album like this in a LONG time. I'm surprised that I haven't broken down and downloaded it........Great to see that there are many others that have abstained from listening until the album is released.....

Have not heard a single note of the album. Holding off a few more hours. I have avoided the message boards as much as possible and also, avoided the reviews. I don't want to have any preformed opinion on the album. I want to take it in with an open mind.

Well, it's now one more day 'til the album is available, and I didn't hold out. I'm glad I didn't too, 'cause now I know I'm only buying one copy instead of the 3 I had originally planned...
So is anyone NOT surprised by the artwork???

Re: Who is still holding out?
Well, it's now one more day 'til the album is available, and I didn't hold out. I'm glad I didn't too, 'cause now I know I'm only buying one copy instead of the 3 I had originally planned...
So is anyone NOT surprised by the artwork???

I won the CD from a radio contest today (caller #9 w00t!), so I've listened a few times tonight. Good stuff.

Oh really? Ok - I'll explain some more:
* I have to work upcoming 4 days till 1530, be home at 1500
This means I'm busy till 1600 with work (including showering and clothing etc).
* I have more things to do, in which I cant enjoy the album
When I'm done with first point I get behind my comp and check TDN (this is quite important - and after that I want some time for myself, relaxing, without any noise in my head. Reading or things like that. Or just play a game.
* The packaging is so nice with the wrapper around it
Without the packaging it doesnt say: Tool - 10,000 Days anymore, which I so like (of course I have 2 other copies that'll say that, but still... I like 3 (is my ex g/f fav. number and I kinda like it that way (long story)).
* All the negative talk about the album made extra cautious about it
I had no thoughts or expactations of the new album untill I heard all the negative talk. I know there are lots and lots and more people that like the album, but I mostly read negative respones about the songs.
* I promosed my g/f to do the Tool Marathon with her
Yay for valid reason!
